Cranfield
Do you buy your own ? Since my thirties people have said I am difficult to buy Christmas presents for, as I am fussy on clothing, don't want "smellies" and like specific makes, types, models, etc for all my hobbies (fishing, shooting etc.,). So rather than have people wasting money on me, I make a specific detailed list in financial bands (up to £10, £10-£15, etc.,). Or (and this is usually the case), I buy my own and give them to my wife, who "sells" them to family and friends to wrap up and give back to me. This afternoon I have got a new wallet, a new priest, a selection of trotting floats, a new waterproof hat and some pigeon cradles. Next week I move up a gear to the more expensive stuff. Suffolk shooter
My wife says exactly the same as you have just said. If I want something, as long as I can afford it I go and buy it to the point that she runs out of ideas and I end up giving her a list of other things I might like. She has still to by me the Holland & Holland yet though SS

Dunkield
I don't buy my own presents, but I don't like getting useless presents either, so I do a very concise wish list including web links if required, that way no one can make any mistakes Mrs stuartp goes 'off piste' from time to time and nearly always gets it right

Mrs Sweepy
christmas in are house revolve round the boys.so instead of buying for each other.sweepy and i rather spend more on the boys. this christmas will be a bit differant .as it will be the first christmas that the big man himself will not be calling .as my ten year old has now worked out .that theirs no way some one as big as santa could fit down are chimmey .and not need assistance from the local fire brigade .so no more putting lots of scummy food out to bribe him just to leave one more extra pressie then normal nither .we dont buy for the adults in the famliy .as both sweepy and myself come from big famliys .so we keep it to just the little people .much cheaper. after saying all that i have decided that sweepy will be buying mrs sweepy a very nice pressie this year .seeming that not that long ago he went a bit mad and bought himself a rifle . so am now on the look out for that special gift .thats tell mrs sweepy how much sweepy loves and appreciate having her company for the last 15 years .i am worth it . otherwise the only other pressies we both get are from both set of parents.i also get one from secret santa at work (you can guarantee that will be rude .last years made funny buzzing noises)and lots of frillys from my girlfriends .so all in all not a bad lot of pressies xxxxxx suzy p.s now you have got me all excited mr cranfield
