He said it's a male mink from this year We discussed culling options and he's going to get back to me Am off to check the traps again in a little while, hope to have another today (getting greedy now!). v-max Posted November 23, 2007 Report Share Posted November 23, 2007 Hello john good to see you getting them they look quite small thus this years as stated.If you rub the dead 1 you have round your other traps that works too.Looks like the female there had a plunge i once caught 9 in 10 days in a pipe with a fenn on the edge of a river all of were young & 1 was white but me being young never thought of keeping it. Can you still not get a call bird for the larsen john??The next magpie or gray crow you wing with the shotgun keep it alive and stick it in the trap keep it fed and watered and you should clean up Its how we do it i got 43mags and 20grays in a two month period in the one 4 compartment trap setup in a sheep field out the back of my house that was last summer not a whole lot of them there this year Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes actually finally got out last wednesday and bagged 4 followed by 5 on thursday night.. just when the lads are finished collecting foxes also.. have a picture of the 4 from the wednesday night must post it.. Was having accuracy issue with the 223 for the last while, got a better\harder barrel brush which seems to have solved the problem both nights were 100%, 4 from 4 and 5 from 5..the cold weather helps as they were a lot more interested in the calls... downloaded a jack rabbit distress call and is working a treat from the jeep CD player..
