Anyway,,,, rest assured that a lot of us are thinking of you 🤗 👍:drinks:

Well said JKD. I can second that thought.

Keep well John and hope that you got your duck earlier today.

Hopefully 2025 will be a much better year for you.

That looks lovely.   To prepare all that with webbed fingers is quite an achievement.

We had duck breast with orange sauce,  made nice change.

Happy new year.

Preparing was no problem , unlike the ( normal ) population we have got an extra finger and hinged thumbs , trouble is we can get forgetful and can't always remember about switching the cooker on and until recently that is what I thought a slow cooker was , still none of us are perfect , or are we?

he has done alright aint he....when he first ventured into the world of cooking....his attempts were dire....but look at him now ......the man is a born survivor....

Tonight's tea wouldn't have won any medals , I went out to my sisters daughters a little while this afternoon and she laid on a typical Boxing Day spread of cold meats and bits and pieces , I didn't eat to much as I wanted to pop down the marsh before it got dark , when I got home I already had the leftover veg from yesterday in the un switched on slow cooker and all I done was added some chopped up pieces of cold Chicken and poured the rest of yesterdays gravy over the lot , stuck it on low for nearly two hours and it ended up making a fairly ordinary tea with very little cleaning up afterwards , unlike this morning where I spent a while getting all the pots and pans back to a nice spotless condition , tomorrow I am now looking forward to a none veg meal , I have also got a carton of Pea and Ham M + S soup , and guess what ? , I am going to add some small pieces of Chicken , after that the end of the Xmas Chicken will be in sight

Thankfully you didn't have a large turkey.

I would have laid a coach on and invited all the good guys on the forum to an all inclusive night to promote the Bootiful Turkey sandwich's , Simon could have invited his neighbours and I could have ended up as the first P / W member who have got a royal warrant for the humble Turkey sandwich :drinks:
