I am a fully insured and experienced shooter.. with my own Magnet and Decoys.

I‘m retired so can help out as required .. I’m prepared to pay to shoot or offer help  on the Farms.. I have Class C&E Licence.

Hello, Most Land Owners will already have their own people to shoot pigeon or have a known person of many years allowed to shoot on the land, In your area i dare say most Farms or who ever owns will have this covered, But there are many  smaller family owned farms that you could try but bearing in mind it maybe difficult being a stranger, you could start by joining a pheasant shoot beating for the guns or find a Pigeon Shooting Club, Land Owners and Farming Families are a canny lot when it comes to letting some one shoot on their land, Good Luck

Thanks for the reply.. most of the land where I live is owned by these Management Companies.. I’ll have to found out from the nearest Farm.

So have you read through all of the threads in the Help and Advice Section?

Door knocking at the farms where you are seeing the damage being done will be your best course of action.

This ^^

someone will know who the manager/agent is, try to get his/her number and either phone or text them, or better still, face to face, they may already have weekend shooters but give them a rundown on you, what you want and what you can offer such as covering the crops midweek, tell them you are local and an extra pair of eyes on the farm and don't forget to mention you have seen a lot of pigeons on their fields, if you know any local farmers do a bit of name dropping.

At the end of the day all they can say is no, but you may get lucky and get a yes, good luck

Do you have any skills the farmer/landowner could make use of. Several years ago i called at a farm and got knocked back, someone I knew visited the same farm a few weeks later and got permission. The difference was he is an electrician and went in his works van, the farmer had a little electrical job he needed sorting and a deal was done.

Well I have got various Class Groups on my License.. I would certainly help out driving agriculture equipment if needed.
