dustyfox
Just what we need America leading us into war again. I know it was going to happen but Iran is not like Iraq, they are more prepared better trained and armed, and 90% of the country is willing to die for it. I wonder how many troops france will put in. http://www.upi.com/Security_Terrorism/Anal...an_strike/8968/

Suffolk shooter
I believe that Bush is going to be the cause of WWIII, and as he is about to depart from Office (Not a moment to soon). He wants to be seen as being famous for something. How about causing both him and his father causing this mass terrorism due to the first invasion of Iraq, followed by the lies for the second, and then Afghanistan. Now I don't believe in the systems of any of those countries, but by the same token, unless it impinges on us what the hell does it have to do with us. I'll support our guys and girls fighting, but not the cause or reason behind it. And who pays for it at the end of the day, innocent men, women and children. SS Edit: This has been on the cards more recently than 2005. Edited January 6, 2008 by Suffolk shooter

JohnGalway
If anyone wants to contribute some much needed money to my shooting fund then I will bet Bush will not strike militarily against Iran in any way, shape or form before he leaves office (The above has nothing to do with a current US Senator who holidays in the local village ) Edited January 6, 2008 by JohnGalway

Cranfield
I don't think a news report dated 30th December 2005, can be classified as "breaking news".

jcbruno
to be completley honest a strike against Iran would have been far better than the blunder in Iraq, imagine if instead of invading iraq who already had it's military machine destroyed in 1991 and the coalition walked away after only a few months looking victorius, and became a adminstrative problem for the UN, what i think should have happend after 911 is a invasion of Afghanistan and a military raid of Iran destroying it's military might, and then yes leaving the UN to make sanctions on Iran, which is far better then an ocupation, we would have looked victorious like in1991, and we would have had many more troops to stabalize Afghanastan. And yes Iran is a regional power but i don't care you put a couple US and British carrier fleets, land based coalition airpower a US marien battle group and British Army and US Army battle groups, and dont forget the tokens 2 canadian ships, 1 australian fighter squadron and a New Zealand field hospital i know we are small, but we could have destroyed Irans teeth, Iran does scare me especially if they do become a nucleur power, you know fellas Patton and Mcarther were right if after WW2 when the anglo allies had the a-bomb before the comunist we could have sorted out the world and stabalized it and made the hordes from the east capitulate along time ago, just imagine you could have had a vacation cottage in N Korea parden me lads but our worl is headed for more uncertanty and destabalization then ever before the future is in doubt

Bloody Yank
Could be bad news... We Americans like to shoot first and sort it all out later. Especially with a Texas Cowboy at the helm. Donnie
