henry d
Whats your opinion ?? apart from the Welsh getting stuffed  My opinion is you should write what you know about rugby on the back of a postage stamp and send it to Brian Ashdon. It seems he needs it.  Absolutely, 3 fly halfs, 3 locks ..........

Stu S
One thing that is worth saying is as follows. If England had have won, it would have been because Wales: 1. Were fielding 13 players from one team 2. Don't have as many players to pick from 3. Warren Gatland isn't a good coach 4. Shaun Edwards isn't a good coach 5. England were lucky 6. England have Jonny Wilkinson And it is worth noting that the English would not be 'rubbing noses' in the loss, because it wouldn't be very English of us to do it. Now Wales have won, it is because Wales: 1. Were fielding 13 players from one team 2. Have a higher quality of players to pick from a smaller group 3. Warren Gatland is a good coach 4. Shaun Edwards is a good coach 5. England were rubbish 6. We had James Hook And Wales are now, suprise suprise, basking in their victory by going over the top again and again. To be honest, I really think that the Welsh could do with a good course in Britishness (as they are a part of the British Isles, and have the same Queen as the English) and learn to be gracious in victory as well as defeat. And before I get called a 'sore loser', England did play like ****, but as has been mentionned, Wales didn't win the match, England lost it. Congratulations to the Welsh. digger
Fair play to the England side for giving the welsh their one chance to gloat every decade. A very charitable cause as there aint really a lot of gloating from there other than the very rare chance such as today. Chips on both shoulders

tiercel
I was all ready and prepared to come on here and venture my opinion on the match, and accept defeat graciously. However, after looking at the posts from the obvious Welsh, or rather Ospreys, supporters, I have decided to envoke one of my Mothers teachings to me when I was but a small boy. If you can't say anything nice (about the Welsh), then don't say anything (about the welsh being......) at all. Stu I was going to answer this post with a snide remark. Then I thought, he has just seen his team loose to a better side. Poor soul he must be devastated. But to post racial remarks that have nothing to do with rugby on an open forum. To quote a famous Welsh saying. "He can't be right in the head mun." TC
Oly
Personally I think that like most of the commentary during the game said, Wales were - for the most part - all over the place. Unfortunately England let two slip by in very quick succession and then in the last 20 minutes of the game simply ended up playing Wales' game, which played right into the Welsh hands. Overall, and particularly in the first half I thought England played well, with some new guys and new routines - especially given the number of guys we had taken off. I reckon England are doing what they always do in the first game or two of any big tournament - getting the country's moral down before either winning, or nearly winning the whole thing! May have been different if Sackey's try had been counted.

codling99
I'm afraid that the Welsh getting stuffed is just not good enough for me. They must be absolutley destroyed for me to be happy! As for The Volcano, I agree about players playing for their/their parents country of birth, but this would be far more difficult to manage than would first appear. I'm interested to see what this dude can do on the pitch, and really look forward to him doing a Jonah Lomu style walk over on Shane Williams! All in all, Engalnd are going to win this year, and Wales are going to get exactly what they deserve. A Wooden Spoon. Stu Perhaps, but there is nothing better than watching the Welsh getting their a**es handed to them, on a plate, with the St Georges Cross sticking out if the hole and flapping in the breeze!!
