Cranfield
I watched that game and Newcastle were running Villa in circles during the first half. It was obvious at half time that a couple of the players were tired and Steven Carr and Joey Barton were liabilities. Emre, Viduka and someone else should have come on. Two of Villas goals were flukey and one was a penalty. I am a complete neutral where these two teams are concerned, so I am just saying it as I saw it. In the summer Keegan will have one of the biggest transfer budgets in the Premiership, lets wait and see who he buys. I would feel more confident in the future of Newcastle if the Owner hadn't got Dennis (the little ***) Wise and two other chancers involved. That might be the thing that makes Keegan walk away. digger
Dennis Wise, provider of the free kick that led to Alan Hansons tears and years off the scouse fool whingeing described as a "little ***" ? Retract your words Sir, he played with passion for some great sides, Wimbledon for a start. He took leeds near the play offs this season somewhat ahainst the odds given the points deduction. And no my delete button still doesnt work so spelling mistakes are a given,

Devon Fox
Everybody keeps harping on about a big budget for the "king", you have to draw the top players in, that will not be easy in the current situation!
kdubya
Everybody keeps harping on about a big budget for the "king", you have to draw the top players in, that will not be easy in the current situation! are you for real? pay them enough and they will play for the local pub, loyalty these days starts and ends with the wallet? or in woodgates instance with "his minder"? cheers KW
Devon Fox
If you think top players given the choice will choose newcastle over the London clubs, or united, you are having a laugh!
Lost Magpie
Keegans hands are tied at the moment due to the utter dross Allardyce signed. We should just stay up imo due to the fact there's worse teams than us then we'll see what happens when the ropes come off his hands. P.S. Why do other clubs fans seem obsessed with us? Suffolk shooter
Keegan hasn't got a chance with everybody ready to rip his head off the minute the team doesn't win. The clue as to why they're not doing well at the moment is in the last sentence, TEAM. The Team weren't too good under Roeder, Allardyce or Keegan (At the moment), but I reckon they will avoid relegation, and come the summer Keegan can rebuild, offload the freeloaders, and build a team with guts, passion and determination. I'm an Everton Fan, but I hope that Keegan brings the Maggies back on line, the Premierleague would be a bad place without them. SS

Mungler
Just seen on the news that the Government are now having to continue to prop up Northern Rock and this includes the sponsorship of Newcastle United. So that's a failed prime minister propping up a failed bank who are sponsoring.............. "the mighty Newcastle United" eh? Wokka wokka. How many mill stones, Albatrosses and other mixed metaphors can anyone muster? Edited February 18, 2008 by Mungler
Blackbart
Didnt even know albertross and metaphor had asked for a transfer? And by the way teal you are wrong it was the too fans chanting. At least we have the british pm propping us up as opposed to some other premiership teams that have the russian mafia, mickey mouse, donald duck, thai dictators to name but a few that are using premership teams to launder their money with.
