mellors
Looking at these pop up hides. Then i had a thought i,ve seen kids cammo pop up tents £19.00 has anybody also thought of of these or tried em. Looking at them erected then tipped on the side looks like they may do the job cheap ??. Just a thought. B)
Edward
I have never tried a pop up tent but I do have have got a Bushwear Chairhide, Its quite good because its light and easy to carry and set up, its great for rifle/air rifle shooting but not so good for pigeons, not enough room to move!!! Will Beasley
Pop up hides have to be the most gayest invention ever. Only a numpty would use one. The idea is, in principle, great... its just they look cack in the field, theyre awkward to shoot out of and they stick out like a great big blob. mellors
Well it seems no one got the question !!!!!1 It was simply if people are paying lots of money for these things i would have thought some enterprising pigeon shooter would have thought of this tent idea as far as i can see its the same thing. Not having seen one in use i thought it might be a good idea for the spring summer. They got some in greenwoods store localy now £14.99 so i thought i,ll get one and give it a whirl as they say. I have a hay bale hide which looks exactly like a bale and have had no trouble bringing birds in. Have had a crow try and land on top of it. Granted the others look pretty rubbish but the hay bale one is excellent
Will Beasley
OK ok.......... the one I saw was pink and the numpty inside resembled the Indian chief off the Village People. I still think they're **** though but if some of you like em.....well....

You forgot to mention that they're the HMR of the hide world. The slightest bit of wind and they turn into a kite.

lampa
I use an ameristep pop up with great effect in Realtree APG but sometimes have to drape over different netting depending on the location, but at £20 (bought of ebay from america) with the postage costing £25 it make a good cheap portable hide. Its with like anything else, you either love em or hate em!
adymorris
used to use one a few years ago when we were lamping, used it as a base when needed 5 minutes or a cup of char, not a hunting one but a fishing pop up bivvi, basically same shape but green and used to lob a cammo net over it, don't really use it now as it, as mentioned stands out in a feild
