Suffolk shooter
Dartford have some registered shoots coming up but what is UTR, OTR, NSSA? Mungler, UTR = Universal Trench OTR = Olympic Trench/trap NSSA = North American Skeet Association and is shot at LAkenheath on Stand 1 Skeet Layout. Slightly quicker than English, but not quite as quick as Olympic I believe. By the way, considering you are only "C" class, you shot a lot better than some of those in B and A class, you bandit you SS Edited March 30, 2008 by Suffolk shooter

MC
Andy, There is another 100 bird registered at Barrow Heath on the 6th April. There isn't many registered grounds in Essex which is the biggest problem, there is Clacton Gun club and Hepworth Hall as far as I know. How did Bazza get his classification so fast? Cheers Martin
Mungler
I wouldn't mind another pop at Barrow heath. It only takes about an hour to get to weather and A12 permitting. Lets have a sniff around for something local - I understand that Clacton do an "All Round (AR)" shoot which is something like 25 skeet, 25 DTL, 25 ESP and 25 something else. I wouldn't mind a pop at that. Incidentally what is "FSP" and "STR". Edited March 31, 2008 by Mungler

bob300w
Is there nowhere to do "combat" trap, Tackleberry stylee? If you want to shoot under combat conditions, I'm sure that I can arrange something for the next time that you are in the area!
Chard
What the hell is sport trap? http://www.clay-shooting.com/A-Z/A-Z-sportrap.pdf Bit like DTL with sporting targets :hmm: 5 blokes with semi-autos stand in a line and shoot sporting targets, while trying to whack the bloke next to him with his spent cartridges. The bloke on the right must be cack-handed to make it fair. Edited March 31, 2008 by Chard

Markio
Mungler, don't get expect much at the Clacton's Sporting practice, i've shot that 5 or 6 times and it's just 3 stands. However they have a good skeet, sportrap and ABT layouts. And they do a full breakfast.
Mungler
I fancy a go with the Sportrap - never done it before. It's all down to the mileage and time in the car. I will have a bash at Clacton if it's nearer than other alternatives. I was surprised how quickly I can get to Barrow Heath and Lakenheath on a Sunday morning if I leave before 8 a.m. I think the most recent record was about 45 mins. Bagsy
I'm still knackered from a hectic weekend of shooting. Sat looking at the screen in mongo land. I'd happily shoot the odd registered ESP. Can't keep up with you big boys though!
Markio
I really fancy having a go a the Clacton Sportrap too as it looks like a decent place, the ABT too as i've never done it. Prob is it's always all registered, decent enough ground but i can't use it shooting as practice apart from the odd birds only event.
