Ferret Master
Dad's just found a tumour about the size of a 5p on one of my jill's back legs. Obviously she will be going to the vets tomorrow but is there anything anyone can suggest or knows anything about this having experienced it before. Cranfield
It may not be a "tumour" in the "terminal illness" sense. I have had jills get small fatty cysts, that the Vet has declared safe to leave and they have not grown any bigger than a pea. I had one that got a thorn or small splinter in its rump (don't ask me how), this became a hard lump about as big as a bean and eventually the Vet (at my insistence) lanced it and all was well. I hope everything goes OK tomorrow and don't worry, which I appreciate will be difficult.
Ferret Master
Thanks Cranners. My other poley has had a wart removed from her foot as it was causing her alot of discomfort before but I've never had anything this big on my ferrets. Traztaz
As above , a friend had a cyst on one of her ferrets, and at her insistance the vet removed it although in his opinion it didnt need to be done.

Ferret Master
It's all OK now. Was a large cyst on the back of her ankle so the vet decided to lance it and alot of fluid came out. FM
