casts_by_fly
because with the SGC they don't care what bore shotguns you buy. You can have one of each so long as it fits the definition of section 2. I'm not positive about the section 1 shotgun, but since all other section 1 guns are caliber/cartridge specific and you can only have the one that is on your certificate, I don't see why a shotgun would be different. perfect
would a multishot shotgun come under fac or sgc or both?
henry d
How many shot do you call multi ?? If it`s 3 or under it comes under the SGC if it`s 4 or more it`s sect1 and you`ll need to ask your FEO for one and the purpose.

njc110381
If you just want to shoot birds on this farm and he has a major problem, why bother getting a SGC? Just get an FAC rated shotty along with the other guns If you plan to shoot various permissions and clays, get the SGC for ease of use (the laws are far more relaxed) and stick to a 3 shot
Zapp
I need a 3 shot gun which hopefully just comes under the sgc from what i gather anything over that is on fac. In order to have an auto or pump on SGC it must have a maximum magazine capacity of 2 rounds, plus one in the chamber, giving you the 3 you need Any more than this and you are into section 1 territory. Lloyd90
To get a section 1 shotgun someone already posted that the Police says you NEED 5 written permissions and 5 references from people who you've know all your life. They try to make it hard for you to get a FAC shotty. Do you have any sort of firearm already ? Why you going after 3 different guns at the same time mate ? If his problem is only with birds tbh you only need the shotty to get it sorted.

I was told I needed 5 permissions for an open FAC, but still only 2 referees to get the FAC and they need to have known you for (I think) two years :yp:
