Skinning a pigeon like Ramsey

On the f word last night chef Ramsey was shown how to skin a pigeon by dislocating its wings and peeling the bird like a banana. I've watched the replay several times and can't see how to do it in enough detail to try myself - any advice would be appreciated. I have 4-6 wood pigeons who come into my garden frequently to feed and I am reluctant to shoot them unless I can eat them

It is fast to do, but then you're left with the meat on the crown so still have to remove the breasts - but I find it just as quick to peel the skin back (complete with feathers) on the breast area and debreast with a knife.

:good:

allways end up with hands like two pigeons after first couple otherwise ,and hope your face dont start itching when your doing them :good:

What a faf! I could have feathered and drawn 2 pigeons by the time he done that

Ok smartarse, I was showing people how to do it, if you do it quickly they can't see how to do it.

Do you see how that works?

Geez!
