vole
Nearly new gun, handful of carts only through it. Went to Edgar Bros for a fix on defective spring causing light strikes. First shot since getting it back on an Eley 32g 12g Pigeon was a light strike so misfire. So was the second on different shell. 3rd one shot normally with good dent on primer. Am taking it in of course but am losing trust in it. Get rid? Get fixed under G,tee? Try different shells? The prospect of a longish drive just to test fire again not filling me with enthusiasm. Any advice please?
Townie
The same thing happened to mine, but the repair under guarantee fixed it a couple of years ago. I'd send it back again as it's clearly not right.

Hodmedod.one
Tell them you want your money back and then buy a decent gun. Remember the old saying "Buy cheap, buy twice".

webber
The gun is not fit for purpose. Get your money back and buy a Beretta. webber
gixer1
Unfortunatly this can happen with other brands of shotgun too.....not just escorts Get it looked at but stick with it, i've put thousands of cartridges through mine and it's a fantastic gun, i go on the opinion of having my escort for rough shooting and as a gun i don't have to worry about and i have a nice over and under for clays and special occasions. try and see past brand snobbery......if it was a beretta with a misfire problem i doubt anyone would say "buy a kriegoff"..... Kit Monster
I had 2 jams with the Eley carts. Switched to Titano's and not had a single jam in the last thousand or so shells. Would still get yours looked at again though.
vole
Took said gun to the clay ground and out of 25 cheapie 28 g shells it misfired (light strike again) about 8 of them Reloaded them and they shot fine. The 28g shells cycled the gun fine too. I cant have a gun in the field that does not shoot especially if I come across a fox. Back it has gone to Edgar Bros.tempted to go back to 2 barrels and wondering if they will cut me a deal on something? Pain in the Harris.
