MJN
Miroku are generally a very good gun, if it is not firing cartridges, then I would get it checked / serviced by a gunsmith ASAP. Harnser
ruger will , If you mean miss fire as in the hammer hammer drops but the cartridge dosent go off then its most likely to be a worn or dammaged striker or hard primers in the cartridges . Brownings tend to be prone to worn strikers and the miroku is a close cousin . Harnser .

Ice
Was out a few nights ago with my Miroku, i tried pulling the trigger very slowly to see at which poing it fires, because i was pulling it so slow it struck the primer but not hard enough to set it off. So maybe your not pulling the trigger hard enough??? Just my penny's worth

Hammers are held back by sears, the trigger disengages the sear, the hammer spring pushes the hammer forward. The speed of pulling the trigger can have no effect on the force with which the hammer hits the firing pin. Weak hammer springs are a likely cause of misfires also, but as the gun has just fired 100 shots with no problem, the cartridges would appear to be the culprit. dunganick
bottom firing pins on browning/miroku tend to pit. Possible this is contributing? Having said which my bottom pin is pitted to hell (2 yr old gun) but its never miss fired.

Andy W
My MK38 was doing a similar a thing, I spoke to the gunsmith at Doveridge about it, he stripped the action, took the pins, springs and god knows what else out, cleaned and greased it, ground some bits down, re assembled it and it has been perfect ever since. Traztaz
On a hard primer you will see a strike mark from thn but the cartrige will not have detonated.
