sjk88
I went along today for a bit, it was the best fair I have been to this year. Plenty of shows in the arenas, I wouldn't necessarily tell you to avoid anything, just see what takes your fancy. I only bought at a couple of stalls and there were cash or cheque although I did see other stalls with card machines. May as well take both along. Enjoy it. sjk

nickb
Been today with my boy Sam, met up with P-A-S and his lad. Weather was great, forced me and above into having a couple of ciders.... Must say though, the traders seemed reluctant to do any deals, but you can use cash or cards at most of the stalls I looked at. Prices were deffo cheaper at CLA though. Enjoy Sunday anyone going, loads to see, and maybe the deals will come out at the last?? Paladin
Went today, Hi to wabbitbosher and clayslayer  , what a walk that was, they changed the layout due to the V festival chewing up the lower fields, had the wrong boots on didnt I, I was aching after about 4 hours If anyone goes Sunday make sure you wear comfortable footware as this year you will be walking twice as far. There was a cash truck taking all UK credit and debit cards at the rear of the house by the toilets and bistro if any of you wish to strike up a cash deal. The weather looks good for Sunday, so go and enjoy.

Zapp
I was there yesterday with the family. A pretty good show all round, though refreshments were even more expensive than usual at these things  Met up with Wabbitbosher on the BASC stand, ummed and ahhed over a few guns on gunmakers row but left empty handed in the end. Jan147
I went down early Saturday and stayed at a local B &B. and then back in early on Sunday. Bought some moleskin trousers and breeks, air gun slip and a 12 bore from Ladds. Really pleased with what I bought. Did see clayman and said hello and looked for people with PW badges but didnt find any. Like others said it was a long walk round especially when you had done it for two days. Some great demos in the rings to watch. took my own food with me and my own drink as well - is much cheaper. Dougy
was a good weekend weather brill and some good bargains to be had with a bit of bartering, the nights entertainment was excelent, well after the bar closed some excitment near our chateau all was nice and peacefull until someone started shouting "YOU BEEN IN MY TENT" ? "NO I AINT BEEN IN YOUR ?? TENT !!" "YES YOU HAVE I SEEN YOU IN MY @@ TENT" TELL ME YOU BEEN IN MY @@ TENT " NO I AINT BEEN IN YOUR TENT" This went on for about 15-20 minutes some woman came out and joined in. had to laugh when she shouted to one of the chaps "GET IN THAT TENT" Got up in the morning to find one of the tents had gone from the top of our street :( so i guess that may have been one involved Why cant people just go out have a few beers and enjoy a good night out without falling out or miss behaving. Any way i enjoyed the weekend Edited September 23, 2008 by Dougy
