Cranfield
On our recent USA trip we had to do some hasty rethinking because of Hurricane's Fay, Hannah, Gustav and Ike. So a week fishing for trout in the N Georgia mountains and then 3 weeks on the Gulf coast chasing tarpon and redfish got turned around somewhat. I ended up fishing for catfish, buffalo and carp on the Mississippi around Tunica and Vicksburgh, then went into Arkansas and fished for trout in the Ozark Mountains. Some large mouth and small mouth bass fishing in S Alabama preceded a reduced time of just 9 days fishing on the Panhandle Gulf Coast. We had the week in the N Georgia mountains fishing "Fighting Towns Creek" for trout on the way home. I had a lot of camera problems and also fished alone a lot, so don't have too many pics of fish. These two pictures I took of my friend, who took me tarpon fishing on the Apalachicola River and show two tarpon he caught and released boat side that weighed about 60-70 pounds. I didn't catch any. Easy Bully
Fantastic, I fish for tarpon off the gulf beaches and boy will they pull your string, here's a quick pic form the last trip of a fish in the 80lb class although we have brought to the boat fish in excess of 150lb. After a while you realise that the fish in the 60 to 80lb bracket are the best fun. EB
