Billett
I'm thinking of getting some Muck boots, does anyone have a pair, if so what are they like? are they worth the money?
Flashman
I have some. They're OK, cheaper than some but don't offer much ankle support. The neoprene cooks up after a long walk. There was a thread on this topic a couple of weeks ago.
Will Beasley
the grip on the sole is cack. Had a pair and spent most of my time sliding about or **** over ***
vole
I got the Grubs Stalker which seem similar. Paid £23 only off Ebay and have worn them once. Really light and very warm. Like em so far.
mickeylove
Got a pair of the camo ones, they're a bit heavy and hot for summer but spot on for winter
drut
I use muck boot shoes & find them great, warm & as comfortable as slippers.Downside is grip is rubbish but fortunately I know my wife is getting me a pair of the new "Chase" shoes for Xmas with what appears to be a much more aggressive sole pattern. lapwing
Wore out a pair last spring; lasted a couple of winters. Not bad, but get the chevron type tread as the "knobbly" ones are awesomely bad on concrete.
luckytrigger
I purchased a pair of the Tay sport model and find them excellent for shooting from a hide and fishing as they keep your feet very warm but if your gonna walk any distance your feet will get a tad too warm. paul1966
what are the heals made of on these boots, i have a pair of hunter wellies and the heal is rubber, had them about a year and the heals about worn out, nothing wrong with them apart from that. SNAP SHOT
I HAD SOME FOR AROUND 6 MONTHS AND THE PADDING ON THE HEAL WORE AWAY LEAVING THE RUBBER SEAM. THIS MADE THEM UNBEARABLE TO WEAR. SO I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM!!
keen shot
I have a pair of the camo ones, and they are awsome for the price keep your feet lovely and warm!
JohnGalway
I've a pair. They get constant use farming and hunting. They have their problems. For the money I have not yet been put on to anything better. The neoprene inside at the heel does wear, it's a little uncomfortable at times but I've not done anything about it either. Couple of the seams have come loose but I can get stuff to glue them back together. The outer bit one mine got ripped on some sharp steel, the neoprene didn't and they do not leak because of it, which was a relief.
