Greenhunter
First time out for me too! Gave me a real buzz considering I'd set the rifle up myself. There's an amazing number of bunnies on the permission. Only walked 200yds or so, rested on a fence and dropped 5 without moving on. ranges from 40yds to 70ish. Was out of house about an hour and 10mins and that included 1/2 hour travelling time! Am well pleased!!

I got the CZ varmint 16" .17hmr with wildcat whisper mod & Nikko sterling Gameking 4-16x50 with harris 9-13 swivel bi-pod & after zeroing my scope myself (5 shots within an inch @ 80 meters, consistently) i visited my 3 permissions, 34 acres, 240 acres & 250 acres .After i visited all 3 of them several times in the day, twice at dusk & have stayed on & lamped em for several hours after, i have not seen a rabbit. Only saw one rabbit & that had already seen me & scarpered. Has somebody told em i've got a new gun? I used to knock em off with my air rifle. Whats going on? And for tbeagley(plus other interested parties) mods a sirocco SM11, scopes a Nikko Stirling 4-12x50 AO. Nothing special but it does the job it seems! humperdingle
Nice shooting bud. The .17hmr is a brilliant rabbit busting calibre. I have the American CZ452 with DM80 mod and it's just a fantastically accurate rifle. Have you had the spring sorted with a trigger kit yet? I got one off the bay (4 tubes and 4 springs) for a tenner... Trigger pull went from around 5lbs to exactly 1lb... MAJOR difference!

Greenhunter
Thanks again for all your replies everybody. I expect I'll be making up-grades and tweaking the CZ as time goes on( and funds allow!). For the moment tho, I'm just going to enjoy it as it is.
