i got the 3" for the reason that i could also use it for skeet if i wanted to .. ill give it a go on monday and see what happens.

i did mention it to the shop and wouldnt be a prob .... and i bought it anyway as this will be my rough gun so 32g's will be used alot as well...

someone told me that its the 3rd cart that causes issues with the escorts with jams etc .... dunno how true this is .

I thought all Escort (at least the newer models) were 3" chambers at least, and besides, what does a 3" chamber have to do with Skeet? Clay shells are for the most part 2 3/4" (67.5mm) or 2 1/2" (65mm). EDIT: You mean you DIDN'T buy the 3 1/2" Sorry, brain on a go slow today.

Can't answer the 21g question though, mines a pump so doesn't matter! Enjoy your new gun BTW! ;)

lol .. dont have anything to do with skeet m8 but as u figured i didnt get the 3.5" version cos i wanna use it for clays etc ... i picked out skeet cos semi autos are more generally accepted for skeet and the lighter gun ( i think ) works better for me when doin skeet .... i have a fabarm stl sporter i use for other disiplines but it can feel heavy ( and slow ) on a skeet range.

but the main reason i got it was as a rough gun .... just curious what peeps have used in theirs thats all ;)

oh and the fact i like the hull comp x 21's ..... great cheap cart for clays

right judgement day came ...... I grabbed my new escort semi-auto and headed down to west kent today for its maiden run :o ...... i took some hull comp x 28g's i had left and also bought some hull comp x 21g's whilst i was there ... as u can tell i like the hull comp x range ... cheap ... pattern well and dont make a complete mess of ur gun... ive even tried more expensive hull carts but still pref the comp x range .... anyway i started with the 28's ... no probs at all.. all cycled well as expected really seeing as others have tried 28's ..... then came moment of truth the 21's . i started with a single which ejected without any issues ... so i loaded the magazine up . first shot went followed by the others all without any worry ;) ....... so there u have it ... the escort will cycle 21g's !!!!!!!!! this was with a new clean gun. forgot to add .... i only used 2 carts in it as west kent dont allow 3 carts in a semi-auto ( ground rules ) .

I have 3 escorts, two luxana and one basic synthetic and they will cycle the hull comp x 21g carts all day no problem at all, and with the cost saving over 28g I cant tell any difference for clay bashing.

exactly my point m8 :good: .. app. the 21's are better technology wise than the 28's as they are a newer cart so have the latest parts ..... how true this is i dont know but they do preform very well.
