pigeon master
I would go for a used Sako and scope combo!! Top quality, accurate, and good looking...Just like Mrs T....The accuracy comes from two plates to my head after I wouldnt get up at 3am to make her toast while she was pregnant and craving... she's ok now though!! Dave-G
Done yer back in... Laminate is the heaviest stock you can get I think? The Hogue would be about the lightest.

Andy_B
Might do that cheers...have tried bro's laminate and bull barrel before i slipped the disk...(which will now be operated on and removed in the new year)...liked it very much...felt i could hold it steadier than my dads ruger delux in normal barrel...but as an update ..firearms inspector visited my second referee today...stays a stones threw away from me...saw him arrive...and 5 min later leave...10 mins later he phoned to come and see me next tuesday.!!! why not today grrr waisting petrol time wages etc etc...credit crunch by ****...will see how that goes...asked for 500 and keep 500 in ammo...since been told should have been 550 and 500...we live and learn i suppose. Ozzy Fudd
well good luck anyway mate! almost forgot to mention scopes. i have 2 at present, a tapco 3-9 magnification model off ebay, and a hawke illuminated model with fixed magnification of about 4 powerfrom a gun shop. the tapco cost £20, hawke cost £90. guess which one is a worthless piece of junk that sits on a shelf? yep, the hawke. also had a massive scope i got off ebay, cost about £40 and came from china. cant remember the make but it had a full mil dot cross hair arrangement, red and green illuminated reticules (5 levels of brightness in each), front focus up to 300m and the magnification went from 6 to 24. it was a bit too heavy for a rimfire, but if youre looking a scope to print your name on a sheet of paper at 50 m you couldnt beat it (i got a sub 1" group at 100m once with my 10/22 with that scope). gave it to one of my friends a while back as i didnt need it, but thats my advice on scopes. maddog546
If you want accuracy and reliability its got to be the model 2 or 5 Bruno which look identical, mines a 1983 model and is superbly accurate and reliable, the Cz of today is nowhere near as good as for the modern ruger. The saying is that the new how to make them in the old days and its right, but if you want accuracy it has to be a bolt action.
