Doc Savage
Hi Guys, I've recently decided to apply for a SGC after accompanying my brother loads of times shooting clays over the years and really enjoy getting out and about with it all, I'm awaiting a visit from the police to vet my storage. I'm still doing my homework on the different guns that are available and the terminologys, I'll welcome any advice that anyone can offer with any tips of a good starter gun and getting out and about. (I primarily want to shoot sporting clays and pigeon) I've recently spoke to a friend about getting permission and is looking good for that too. me and the wife had a clay lesson on Sunday morning but the wife didn't like the weight and force of a 12 - so I'm back to the drawing board on getting her involved with shooting (suggesstions are welcome) :( cheers John

Dead-Eyed Duck
I've got two 20g's - one is a semi with little recoil If you want to try give me a call Don
webber
If you do take up Dons offer, make sure that you leave your wallet and any valuables at home. Only joking Don You could try your wife with a 12g semi auto. That way, you can both shoot a proper gun, and their would be no problems with mixing cartridges, or the additional expense of 20g cartridges. If you want to try my semi, just shout. webber
Doc Savage
thanks for the warm reception guys !! Appreciate the advice on the semi auto and 20 and the offers , I hope that my SGC gets here sooner rather than later, It will be great if I can tag on when I'm up and running with it all - i'll keep you informed.
