i bought one on ebay a few weeks ago and then made a couple myself, they are fantastic, ive used them a couple of times now and they attract bird very well, cant say they are better than a magnet as claimed but used with a magnet add more movement to the pattern, i wouldn't go out without them now.

They work well. Especially in standing corn!

I've made my own(see avatar) Thats a lander but floaters are fairly easy to make.

Sourcing the materials is the difficult bit and the wings sets can be dear, I got mine off Chris Green, they're better than the ones on fleabay!!

Last time I made one it cost me about £14 and less than two hours to make it. Better than £41 + P&P

Has anyone tried these flappers, they look ok. Seen them on ebay, but not in any shops.

they aint "flappers" they are a variation of the bouncers chris green sells ( think he may have packed them in?) anyway the movement is caused by the wind so if it aint windy they dont move!!! oh and he sells or did sell the wing and tail kits for £8.00 if you want to make your own

cheers KW

If someone could post some clearer photo's, I might have a go at making one. The video is not all that clear, but I think shouldn't be to hard. I don't fancy paying £40.

Get a copy of Chris Green's DVD 'Pigeon shooting, The whole story, Vol 1. I did and you can work out how he does it if you've got a bit of imagination

If you need any help, ask ;) its not a problem

I bought one from the guy who makes them in Teesside. Went to pick it up myself as I live local and cost me £40, well made and similar to Chris Green's Floaters except that floater rod is spring steel and not fibreglass. Very realistic and not yet tried it, if thet are as good as his they will be awesome.
