shooter777
Hello and welcome. I would go fer an escort semi auto. hardly any re-coil and cheap and great for pigeon shooting All the best.
jackinbox99
Definately go for a semi auto. Not much recoil at all, and you get 3 shots. Ive got a beretta 391, you might be able to just about get a 2nd hand one for 500 if your lucky. Im well happy with mine, ideal for pigeons or clays, or anything in fact! MerseaDavid
When I use an auto I use a Remington 1100 which works well. But I always use my Beretta 686 O/U for shooting pigeons, but then I have got a recoil reducer on it made by Jim Spalding in West Mersea. buckshot100
Hi Newto, Like Fishleigh said, lanber make great o&u's. For the money IMHO there's nothing better. Get one with multi chokes and you'll have a gun to tackle anything from skeet to wildfowl (with the appropriate ammo). I bought the sporter version last year and i'm delighted with it. The beauty of an o&u is you've got a choice of choke selection instantly. Good luck with whatever choice you make and enjoy it.

bruno22rf
I had a lanber about 5 years ago- from new-the cocking link thats attached to the forend wore away in less than 2 years-i would never buy another (o.k. so this may have been an isolated case but i wouldnt bother giving them a second chance when there are so many excellent cheap guns around)
jackinbox99
I had a lanber about 5 years ago- from new-the cocking link thats attached to the forend wore away in less than 2 years-i would never buy another (o.k. so this may have been an isolated case but i wouldnt bother giving them a second chance when there are so many excellent cheap guns around) I will have to watch out for that then. I also have a lanber o/u and have to say so far ive found it an excellent gun. Nice solid quality feel to it, supprisingly low recoil compared to some o/u`s ive used. Whether that is because it just fits me better i dont know. Ive only put about 2000 cartridges through it so far over the last couple of years, so will have to keep an eye on it.
