Tommo
Right...... I bought 400 from my local supplier, 2nd box - 1st wasn't great (about 10 missfires), the second box 35 misfires - out lamping last night was a nightmare, started out about 7pm, started well - first 5 shots accounted for 5 rabbits, then it all started to go pear-shaped. The next 5 mags (5 shot mags) were a complete waste of time 1 in 4/5 shots went off. I checked everything which naff'd up the field we were in as l was working with a small led pencil torch to check bolt, action, mag, barrel and then emptying, dry firing (action worked fine, pin was working ((could hear the clicking and it was 'cocking)) then tried loading it again form the other side of the box - same happened....ruined the night and missed loads of bunnies. Got home checked rifle again and it was fine, checked the 'fired bullets again the misfires and they look the same when compared i.e. pin location, amount of strike etc. Bullets are kept in a bullet cabinet in a warm dry place along with all my others for other calibre's, these have done this before to me - never had a prob with my Remmi HV yellow jackets ever.... Ruddy waste of time - need subs for some of the places l shoot, whats a reliable alternative?
scout
I always use Eleys or Winchester's , fired over 2000 last year , 2 bricks of each and to date I have not had a single misfire or mis-feed. Very pleased with them.
dusk2dawn
Have you tried a different brand/batch,Imo I would think to look at the rifle as you have had so many missfires. Rgds D2D.

leaseone
Winchester are good through an Auto as they don't have that sticky mess all over the Bullet head
scout
Think I'm paying bout £34 for 50 of both Eley's and Winchester's

buchangun
I've allways used cci subs and found my gun likes them ( same as your gun) and I have only ever had a problem with one box of 100 that every other was a banger rather than a sub - but never had a misfire - I'd speak to who you got them from and also I'd give your bolt a service just in case as it don't cost any thing! realtreedave
i run my cz on either eley or winchester ammo and never had a single missfire.the eleys seem to group slightly tighter so i mainly use these subject to availability
Fat Dog
Put 150 through the Weirhauch this afternoon, no problems. Can you try the batch you have through another gun? At least that will tell you whether it's the gun or ammo.
bruno22rf
I use the 452 and swear by Eley extra or RWS subs if you can find them-never had a missfire with either-take the rounds back where you bought them and demand a refund. jonno
I stopped using CCI 'subs' when about 50% out of one batch were supersonic. If they can't make them accurately at the factory, how can you expect them to go where you are pointing them? Grrr. Eley seem goo in my CZ. raymondbacon
Agreed re CCI's, my SAKO finnfire doesn't even load them. Winchester sub hollow point are superb for lamping rabbits.
dazza
Think I'm paying bout £34 for 50 of both Eley's and Winchester's Are the made of gold? £34 for 50?
codling99
i use cci s in my cz 452,work fine,do have the odd flyer but not many,as for winchester x s ,jamm nearly every round in mine, strange, best advice is get a couple of boxes of different rounds and try them in your gun, when you get a good un,try and buy as many as you can in one go. bullet boy
Winchester Subs are the best in my book!
bruno22rf
Hi-im willing to bet that if you switch to either Eley extra or RWS subs you will never switch back-CCI are no match .
sharpshot
i use winnies in my 452 american no probs at all. never had a missfire wit cci just found found the bolt harder to close with them. remmingtons were a load of **** they missfired all the time would of done better throwing the box at the bonzais
