Axe
There is no need to put down any more than you need. In my circumstance and in hindsight, I did not need the .22LR and would have benefit purchasing the FAC Airgun instead. Simply because many of the shoots are close quarter and a .22LR wouldn't be suitable. If you don't have any restriction on shoots to use the .22LR, I wouldn't bother with the FAC Airgun. realtreedave
the fac air rifle fills the gap betwean 12ftlbs air rifle and 22lr .when you nead more range but dont want to worry about riccochets or whats going to get in the way 1/2 mile away .i know people are going to say you can do it all with either 12ftlbs air or 22lr but thats unrealistic or overkill.if you are coming from the 12ftlbs route you will find that your shooting oppurtunities get less the more you have to think about achieving a safe backstop

shoot57
stick with your hmr in my mind the best rabbiting cal out there, i did own an fac air rifle for a lot of years and enjoyed it but when i got my hmr my rabbit bag doubled, if you have areas that can be dangerous use a sub 12fps air rifle that's all you need out to 40 ish yds, in particular if you want one for the pot
arjimlad
I've got some permission on land which has a few houses about and find the FAC air rifle is brilliant for potting bunnies at 50 yards without worrying about pellets ricocheting on to the housing estate 100 yards away. It opens up a lot more of the land.

deadeye ive
I have a FAC air rifle and a HMR and a .223 having ditched the .22lr some time ago .Experience and conditions allowing 70yd head shots are well in the capabilities of a rifle yeilding a output of 35 ft lb . Having said all that if i had thousands of acres to cover in a vehicle a .22 lr would be my first choice
