Fatcatsplat
i have woken up many a morning on the hammock, to find myself covered in dew sometimes the wife throws a blanket over me. if not, i freeze. hahaha the other one is very early on a summers morning, when the garden is nice and tidy. sit out at about 6am, having breakfast ALONE I thought the hammock trick was just me!! Also works really well with the kids plastic play slides!! Summer is for Rose wine, cider and heartburn.

Salop Matt
Previously its been a day well spent working in the summer sun of a weekend getting a little bit of cash in hand follwed by a BBQ and a good fill of the nosebag and then a walk across fresh cut stubble for a bash at the buunys. Also febuary roost shooting and getting home with cold feet having a hot shower or bath followed by a steak and large red wine. But This year will be my first summer living with SP and the 2 dogs ! so am thinking of a day in the garden or out with SP and the dogs with a walk round with HMR on my permition follwed by a BBQ and Beer back home with SP and the boys. Nial
I'm still trying to come to terms with the memory of 'hot summer nights'. On the east coast here (Edinburgh) as soon as the sun goes down it starts getting cold. We've a high red brick old nursery garden wall (listed don't you know) round the back garden so after about 8:00 it's jumper time. How I wistfully remember standing outside pubs in Belfast at 1:00 in the morning (eg the Welly Park), it's only 100 miles further south but a lot warmer at night! Nial. LeeinVA
Nothing is better than a 70 degree night, as far as a night should go anyway..

vole
i like the sound of that Lee . I like to just sit in the garden and let the chimps run riot. Does your house back onto Knowsley Wildlife Park? I like to get back from the river or field completely pooped and sink a bottle of Sancerre in the back garden listening to blackbirds.More likely beer or cider though. Whitebridges
Go push netting for shrimp. Get 'em home and pour a glass of the sea (rum). Lightly boil them so they don't jump in to the coals and griddle 'em. Eat with a loose leaf salad and a few glasses of pinot noir. Listen to the owls calling as the sun sets. Next best is fishing for and eating the wild brownies during the mayfly (June) on a lovely little chalkstream - another story.
