adymorris
Ady how do you get those cows, rooks to come to you.what deeks etc crow decoys we stated off with about 20 pigeon & 5 crow decoys (crows were just outside the pattern in a 6' square area) and a magnet with pigeons on, it became obvious that the food on the surface had all but gone & the crows were after slugs & beaking the seed up so we switched to crow - they were coming in from all angles - there is a rookery about 350 yards away in line of sight - they land in the rookery then hop over to the decoys and normally decsend in a spiral motion into range or they come in really low we ended up switching off the magnet, moving the crows over 20 foot to the right every 2 hours to see how the approach changed (which it did) and reducing the pigeons down to about 8 - the 3 young woodies got bagged in the last 2 hours - loads of drilling going on plus the rape is about right for them to feast on now so no where near as many woodies as expected They are nosey beggars and will have a look at most things they also have the best eye sight in the world - 1 slight movement and there off - only move when they are well within range or overhead My buddy went out last year and got over 80 using 12 crow decoys
