old rooster Posted March 15, 2005 Report Share Posted March 15, 2005 Used to be allowed those didn't we, never did understand why a 3 shot auto was really any safer than a 5 or 7 shotter ?? Percy Stanbury used to do tricks like these with a pair of double barreled guns and a loader, seem to recall he could knock down 6 clays that were launched (not hand thrown) at the same time. I believe he died in his late fourties early fifties after a routine operation went wrong. I remember seeing a TV documentary with some footage about him many years ago.
