Chard
me too. Will it help me hit the clays? Well........ Normally I'd say no, but I had a go with my mate Craigs DT10 on Saturday Shock & awe. I couldn't miss if I wanted to And the clays were vapourised Very heavy gun, but when it's mounted, the weight disappears completely. It defies science . It makes my 682 Gold E feel like I'm pointing a medium sized telegraph pole Edited April 5, 2009 by Chard

The other is the total opposite Strange that!!

MC
What you need is an F3, far superior to a DT10
Chard
What you need is an F3, far superior to a DT10 An F3 is clearly an "Essex DT10" I've sacked the Krieghoff ideas. Sausage chewing, Sauerkraut-stuffing goose steppers If I had a DT10 in the Essex Masters, I expect I'd sweep the board. Faulds and Digweed? They'd be this years has-beens . Sir Chard of Mancheshire . I'd be there with the aristocracy, looking down at the riff-raaaaaarf

Gordon R
Why are they better than a 682E Gold - other than the price?
Chard
Why are they better than a 682E Gold - other than the price? The gun is balanced and weightless when mounted. In comparison, my 682 Gold E takes a lot of getting moving and stopping. I'm a big bloke, so I don't really notice it until I try the DT10, then the difference is amazing. Some people say they need to feel a load of weight when they're pointing a shotgun. This makes absolutely no sense to me at all They don't seem to have made any effort to balance the 682 properly. The balance is no better than on cheap Berettas (in my opinion). The DT10 is heavier, but feels weightless when mounted, compared to the 682. I agree they're a bit of a silly price though. With the parity of the pound and Euro, a new one is £4000 all bar the shouting. I don't want a used one I'm going to have to start saving my pennies Edited April 5, 2009 by Chard
tosspot
Hmmmm, tried a couple of DT10s and couldn't get on 682s on the other hand i like especially the old DL model which i borrow for the Beretta World but the i am a mere slip of a lad and maybe find the DTs weight a strain
Chard
Hmmmm, tried a couple of DT10s and couldn't get on 682s on the other hand i like especially the old DL model which i borrow for the Beretta World but the i am a mere slip of a lad and maybe find the DTs weight a strain But that's just it, you pot of toss Once you've mounted it (oo-er Mrs) there isn't any weight. Slip of a lad, my **** DT10 is very chunky though. Some people don't like that. My mates one has what he calls a "semi beaver-tail fore end" which is a very slim style. This works for me, because I've got small hands. I've shot a couple of other DT10's over the years and the normal fore end is like a chunk of 4 x
JonnyR
A friend of mine had one with 32" barrels. I just could not get on with it. So I tried a Silver Pigeon III - lifeless and horrid, but fotunately the RFD had a ltd edition one, which is what I bought - 30" barrels mind you. Don't ask my why the two felt so different, balance different due to denser wood, the ltd bein hand finished maybe they played around with the handling but I love it. Buy a gun that feels right for you and not on price, brand etc, oh and always test drive it first. I know it sounds obvious but how many of us have ever felt that buying a pretty bit of wood or engraving is somehow going to be better than the old model! jon. BlaserF3
A friend of mine has one and it is very easy to shoot with excellent trigger pulls and handling. It was in the rack at Kelbrook and he'd always fancied one so he asked to try it, his shooting just seemed to be so much better than normal, so he bought it. I must admit the balance of the gun is good when you shoot it,very similar to my F3.
RC45
oh and always test drive it first. jon. Is that as easy as it sounds, I am not sure if my RFD has a DT10 as a demo and as for second hand guns, the shelves are very bare.
