The NFU did me a really good deal, give them a call.

i'm with adrian flux for the second year now.

£700 90 300 tdi third party fire and theft, i'm 22 with 1 year no claims.

extortion or what!

My mates son (20) has a 90 300tdi, fully comp £340 with the NFU. Could save yourself a few quid there

I am with flux:

300TDi Disco, I am 24 with 7 years NCB no accidents or points in last 5 years. unrestricted mileage - £399 BUT it includes the authority to drive other vehicles not registered in my name or owned by myself. (which is rare at my age)

2nd year running they have been cheapest!

I am with Liverpool and Victoria (or LV as they now call themselves).

When I renew my insurance and ring round, nobody can beat them.

 Just had a quote from L & V £64 cheaper than the broker i use so i rang her to say i was changing..

She rang back a few hours later she had rang the company i was with and they have matched L & V's quote..:yes:

If it is just a "normal" 4x4 with no major mods and you are not trashing it off road, specialist 4x4 insuarnce is probably not for you.

If you have more than one car in the house, Admiral mutli car was the best by far for us.

I have my V8 Landy off roading "toy" on adrian flux. £100 fully comp as a classic limited milage policay but with agreed valuation.

Whenever possible I try to get quotes for any insurance on the afternoon of the last day of the month prior to the expiry of the policy.

I was told by a good friend in the industry that, if the month has been poor, the chances of obtaining a really competitive quote are greatly improved as the day wears on. Apparently hair is torn out and sobbing heard as targets are not met and bonuses are seen to be slipping away.

So far this strategy has paid off several times, although no one has been able to beat NFU on my 300tdi as they do it for circa £160 inc all whistles and bells but with a 6k limit which is ideal and no real hardship for a shooting truck.

Try the NFU they also do a loyalty scheme for repeat customers which is worth considering.
