Shooting ground safety

Graham seems to have done well. Post a provocative item - sit back and watch out for some horror stories. He seems to have gone a little quiet.:oops:

Come on Graham - speak up or are you just an anti without the courage to declare it? :D:P

Oh dear someone else who can't read.

The post I quoted said that O/U's can be broken and carried between stands and AUTO'S must be unloaded at all times.

It was a tongue in cheek comment and I have no desire to carry a gun betweens stands loaded.

I do not need preaching to about gun safety thank you, I am perfectly aware of when my gun should be loaded or unloaded.

Sorry failed to pick up on the irony and the text you quoted.

:good::yes::hmm:

Gotta say though that goggles or whatever are a waste of time unless you're using them to make the bird stand out more.

The rest is elementary (isn't it?)

So absolutely no chance of safety glasses stopping anything hitting you in the eye then?

I don't wear glasses, because I don't like them, but I know I'm being stupid.

I've been hit 3 times on the head by broken clays, all drawing blood. Once on the bridge of the nose :good: , one on the face, about 2 inches below the eye and once on the top of my head (I was looking down at the time).

Chard,

I don't wear them either unless I have to or the sun is bright.

I was merely making another sarcastic comment (which doesn't really work on a forum) about the statement abouot them being a complete waste of time.

I wear them, dark red all the time. Even on over cast days like today i still find the sky quite bright to look into so it's more relaxing on my eyes to have teh darker shade on all the time. And of course i there's the safety aspect.

Yes Sherlock :):hmm: I realised that you were being sarky.

I was just supporting your comment with an observation that glasses do have a place in clay shooting if you're a jolly sensible chap (unlike me, and it seems, you as well :yay: )

I thought you wore glasses at the Essex Masters :good: . Perhaps you'd been on the lash and had panda eyes
