PEREGRINE
Several people have asked for more hawk pics so here are a couple more. This is a 6yrs old male Finnish Goshawk returning to the fist, this bird has just been put down for breeding. He averaged 200 - 260 head of game a year, quarry list consisted of all british quarry including pheasant, partridge, duck, rabbit, pigeon, crow, rook, and also once bound to the head of a big dog fox who luckily stuck his head into a bush and scraped him off! PEREGRINE
This is another pic of my female Lugger falcon. She is used manly on rubbish tips, although Luggers are relatively small falcons when correctly motivated they are highly aggresive toward quarry and are more than capable of putting most gulls to flight (with the exception of greater black backed gulls). If there is enough interest I will dig some more out, the problem is most of my pics are not digital which means I have to scan them and this is time consuming. Fisherman Mike
this bird has just been put down for breeding. Would they be better alive for that purpose.... Great pictures... Ill see if I can look some out of my old Harris, she was a real Beauty.. Also I love the Gos. Ive always had a soft spot for the Goshawk and the Hobby in the bird world. Cheers. FM. PS. Found a Buzzard carcass a couple of weeks ago on the local shoot. Now theres only 2 people who use that in the Spring.... me and the Keeper. I dont have any doubts who shot it but have no chance of proving it. That person knows how I feel and I have made my feelings known to the farmer who leases the shoot. Trouble is He thinks there are far too many of them and they need curtailing. Having seen 11 birds in the air in about 4 square miles last week he does have a point to some extent. I have made them both aware of the penalties involved.

Browning
Fantastic stuff Peregrine. I always get a shiver down my neck when I see birds hunting. Similar to when a pack of hounds cracks up.
