Dave-G
Lift young plants in the search for insects living beneath them and their roots.
markb
Peck the eyes and tongues out of lambs while they're still being born, eat vast quantaties of sheep cake, If a ewe gets stuck on her back it don't take the crows long to start ripping open her belly, but they usually start on the fleshy bits first. Ozzy Fudd
crows would be better being classed as scum instead of vermin, seeing a 3 day old lamb with no eyes isnt pretty; on top of that if theres a grain store or anything near by guaranteed theyll be in it for a free meal
Greenhunter
Ask that one to the declining population of songbirds :yp: Especially the Blackbird I saw a few days ago chasing a carrion crow with a Blackbird fledgling in its gob Not a pretty sight!! Pykie
Eat crops, take livestock feed, kill songbirds, take eggs, kill small game chicks and waterfowl, peck to death young lambs and iv seen them do it to piglets too, carry disease... Highlander
Which is why I like popping crows with a speeding 55gr V-Max. I love my .17HMR for Crows and Magpies. You can catch 'em out at distance and it turns 'em inside out. Many's the time one shot bird will bring in others, all it takes is a little patience. varmintator
Thanks for the info guys, one of the farmers who's land I shoot on asked if I could sort some out for him. I said yes but neglected to ask what the problem was so thought I would pick your collective brains. I am thinking of getting an FAC shotgun for this. markb
I don't know about you lot but around here we cant get within 150 yards of the bxxxxxx, you walk into a field without your gun and it's full of them, pick up a gun and you wont see one for hours, far to crafty for their own good, I'm thinking that maybe a larsen trap would be the most effective control method that usualy catches them out
Imperfection
I shot 13 crows last week,Granted, they were adolescent ones, but like the farmer said-they'll never grow up and cause him problems.

When I have my gun they are off before I even get near the field. Weird
