My new O/U

I went to the gunshop today to pick up my Hatsan escort after it's bit of barrel trouble and seen this nice looking O/U Baikal so decided to offload the semi-auto and buy the Baikal. I think it will be ideal for the rough shooting I do as I won't be too worried about a few scratches it might pick up and it should last for years.

Anyone know if you can get an english manual for these as mine is printed in Russian (not sure if they all are  ).

Ooooooh, I had one of those for my first O/U.

The only problem I had was that the chokes on mine were very full and 3/4, which was frustrating for me at the time as I was a **** shot (still am, according to some)

I got the chokes altered to 1/4 and half, and it lasted me well for many years.

who do you see about getting the chokes done ? gun smith or what ? cheers

First of all don't get paranoid about it - many people use these guns and have no idea as to what chokes they are - some were made 1/4 and half choke.

If you want to take it to any gunshop and they will check it and tell you what chokes it has - this will cost nothing.

I would be tempted to get on with it, and if you are happy with the results don't do anything - these are really good guns for the money ???

Don, this one is a MC so the options are endless (if I knew what I was doing  ).
