:P Its a challenging shoot, the first time I shot it they cut a long channel in the tree about 4 feet wide and fired a pair of green driven about 2 feet over your head, one guy left them too late to shoot them and got one across his nose....claret everywhere!!!! Bloody great shoot, MUng and I shot it with an ex england shooter...he beat her too!!! :yp:

  • 1 month later...

I am genuinely gutted.

That's a real ****ter.

I get the feeling its all land, planning and neighbours related. It's a worry for the sport. Hey maybe someone could get in touch with the CPSA and seek their assistance........

Men of Essex, anyone know of any land we can buy / lease and stage our own shoot?

Well that's annoying.

Right then, stiff upper lips......

Being as we all have day passes how about we find an alternative venue for a general PW meet up? Suggestions here please..........

Dartford, High Lodge etc? Stick some suggestions down then i'll set up a poll to decide?

Twenty odd people up for it, maybe we can come up with something else? :hmm:

The alternative listed in the email.

3 x man team shoot consisting of 50 bird sporting and

a 75 bird 3 x man flush (total of 225 targets per team).

The scoring format will follow that used at the Essex Club Champs (ECC):

Two separate teams are squaded to shoot together

(we'll call the teams 'Team 1' and 'Team 2' for ease of explanation).

Team 1 scores for Team 2.

The roles are then reversed and Team 2 scores for Team 1.

Flushes are always quite entertaining.

It's at the White Bear location.

Just checked the High Lodge website and they've got a 100 bird FITASC England selection shoot on the Sunday. We could always shoot that, but i'd prefer something a little more challenging  so Dartford on the Monday sounds more like it :hmm:

Quite agree, it'll still be the same setup on the next day. Challenge is one thing but for the novices amounsgt us it doesn't make for a fun day. On that basis i don't want to do High Lodge!

Any more suggestions? Dartford i'm happy to do as i've only been the once.
