Harnser
The combined minds of Pigeon watch is awesome . If you try a different type to the one i have posted make sure it is robust . I can assure you that the aldi one is built like an Ipswich hooker and wont let you down . I have been using mine in the field for over a year and i dont think you could break it if you tried ,but i do have a spare just in case . Incidently i got a right rollicking from mrs harnser for screwing it into the lawn . Harnser . Edited July 10, 2009 by Harnser

Harnser
Dont forget if you make one these bases it is important that it screwed in as far as it will go . Thats when you will feel it tightening up . Once screwed all the way in it will not move . Harnser .

Robalex
Well spotted Harnser. The modification is simple to make and the finished job looks the part. Unfortunately there are no Aldi stores in N.Ireland, or I would definitely buy one. I'll do a search on google to see if there are other retailers who stock it. Perhaps some PW members have this info? Anyway, keep up the good work. Rob
