Hi,

Went out today around 3.00 Pm, just to do bit recci and maybe fire few shots if get any chance. First time in last 3 months i just took my cartridge bag with me which had 35 cartridges, and a bag which i was taking everytime in last 3 months had 200+ cartridges (which was never used). Anyway went to a rape field few there, all **** off no chance, walked the other end of field it had this green bit there not sure what it is called, saw tree felt would be good for roosting as it was 15 mint walk i just went and sat under tree to just spent some time relaxing as no pigeon was around, suddenly saw few pigeons (flight line).. shot 4 put them as decoys as some birds decoys from well high wasn't expecting at all. went under trees and they started coming.. sadly it didn't took before i ran out of my 35-40 cartridges and pigeons kept on coming .. nice flight line (felt they were sticking tongue out on me)...

**** law you don't have enough carts when they play ball, I have been the same last 3months I could of took 1 box with me and come home with some, but you just never know,it can be better than expected

agree, was bit annoying for last couple months i was literally taking 250 cartridges, this is the very first time i had no intension for big scores or anything, went rape field clapped few, and all gone... went back of field where its the grass or what ever you call it in picture and no pigeon was feeding. they just started to roost in trees nearby and some started to decoy in dead birds i shot... i was walking around field with just cartridge bag and gun all gear (decoys, hide out etc i left them in car). do you guys think they feed on what you see in picture as some were decoying...

Not sure what that is in your picture. You'll find that pigeons feed on many different weeds/plants. If the birds are feeding in a certain area they will often decoy into the next field. I was contemplating setting up on a bean field last week that is next to a rape field. The pigeons are not interested in the beans but i'm sure I could have decoyed them onto there if I had so wished.

It looks like Capsella bursa-pastoris to me.
