  1. Welcome to PW Pete. Most people will have their own opinion on this and am sure a search will throw up many threads with far better information than I can offer. however - I have used many a springer and find that it is down to simple personal preferance. Looking at the HW 97k, HW 95, Hw77k, HW80 or even the AA tx200hc all of these are more than capable of taking out quarry at 35yrds and each has their own feel so the best thing to do is get down to your local gun shop or even better gun club and try a few for yourself to see which you prefer. If I had to pick one to use straight out of the box then it would be the TX200 but that's just my opinion. It's then worth keeping an eye out on here as they do come up in the for sale section from time to time. Cheers EB
  2. Thanks - just checked, a bit too far for me. Good luck with the sale and if you just happen to be down south in the next couple of days let us know. EB
  3. Cheers for that Ratman, I've only had the trap out for a night and there was one in it this morning so have reset for tonight to see if anyone else is home. EB

  5. Hi Mossy - does it take scoped rifles? I'm after one that will take a couple of scoped guns and a shotgun. Thanks EB

  7. Thanks guys, I've been given one tunnel trap that has been kept in soil so will start with that and see how I get on, and will try to pick up a couple of others when I can. Lets hope I get them soon as I can see another row of mole hills this morning....am prepared to feel a little guilty though when I catch my first one! EB
  8. Cheers Traztaz, My german is'nt all that but I can certainly see how that can do the business on them moles..only problem is ordering one they don't seem to do them on Amazon!!! EB
  9. Hi - I seem to have been invaded by moles and was wondering if anyone could pass on some advise for trapping them, ie what traps are best..etc I've heard that you should'nt touch the traps with your hands as they are very sensitive to scent but am hoping that a seasoned mole trapper could point me in the right direction. Many thanks EB
  10. Sorry can't help you there but if you fill in your profile and provide a bit more info..ie BASC insured..etc you may get more interest?? Just a suggestion EB

    Deeks

Still looking...as you say lots on ebay but most are only offering payment by paypal and I can only do cash, cheque or postal order. EB
  13. Well sat in the hide for around half an hour when out of the blue a couple of maggies dropped in, looks like they were drawn to their plastic friend dinning on the ground and didnt take any notice of my owl. Another 20 minutes passed and a big gust if wind managed to knock the owl off the fence post so will have to try again next time to see if he has any effect on the corvids as there was no way I was breaking cover to reset him as it was starting to get dark and the bunnies were coming out to play. EB
  14. I've been using one crow deek set 40 yards out from my hide and one magpie deek a bit closer with it's head down on a dead rabbit (white side up) and this has been drawing rooks in a treat with as many as 8 of them swooping down and going mad, they know something is not right but can't help but take a closer look. The only problem is due to location I can only use the airgun and they are not keen on landing although have managed to pop a number of maggies that fly in and sit there with no hesitation and a couple of Jackdaws although these have been taken off a nearby fence as are too wary to drop any closer..all really challenging sport which is great. Am out again later today so may take my little owl deek to see if it has any effect..will post the outcome EB
  15. I've been using one of these Logun Lamps with the filter kit for a few months now and find them pretty good for short range work and with the filter in palce the bunnies just sit there, you can pick them up second hand for around £50 although if you have the spare cash and lamp often the Deben mini pro takes some beating. 22. Patterdale - born to hunt, great ratters but a young family pet they are not.
  23. Go out and get yourself some Air Arms Diablo Field, they're not hollow point but I can confirm that many a rabbit/rat didnt seem to mind..
