  3. well you could try chopping the plug off the xbox that will get him away from the tv i threatend to chopp plug of hair straighteners as daughter was always leaving them switched on a real fire hazzard and now since i threatened to chop plug off them she now unplugs them a harsh quick fix but very effective
  4. i have on occasion walked in to one when out shooting i wonder if anyone else has also
  5. ok cheers another question if ok if the lands i shoot over are demmed suitable and i want a suitable caliber for foxe control will both lands need to be inspected again or would the written consent of land owners be enough
  6. shame you not in the north east as i could let you have one of mine but they are 36ah batterys heavy but i dare say would last pretty much all day
  7. ok thanks for your help il fone them in morning to find out if il be ok thanks again ive held sgc for nealy 20 years now and fac coming up to 5 years so hopefuly i may get an open ticket with any luck fingers crossed
  8. i now have 2 farms to shoot over would that qualify me for an open ticket even tho they are next door to each other i wonder i asume the later of the 2 should be ok for firearms as the old guy who died last year also had .22 fac aswell, i assume i wud be ok using it on his land also
  9. mine states the 22 rifle with s/m and 22 ammo shall be used for shooting vermin and for zeroing on ranges or land deemed suitable by cheif officer of police for the area where the land is situated and over which the holder has lawfull authority to shoot i wonder if this is an open ticket also
  10. hi all i shoot on 2 farms in northumberland 1 of which was passed for .22 when i applyed for my fac and the other which i have recently started shooting on which wasnt on my fac application but the farmer who recently died last year (bless his soul) also had a .22 fac im summising i should be ok on there with my 22rf also as the land must of been deemed suitable for the use of firearms , anyway i was thinking of adding something like a 243 or something simalar for the foxes would the both lands i shoot on need to be inspected again
  11. hi yes it can be done you need a lead from ear fone socket on tape deck to line in or mic socket on your sound card (jack plugs on either end ) then record from the tape deck to pc i think it will be in wave format then if need to be converted to mp3 etc
  12. hi edward looks same as mine but mine has got the ejector on it and i had no problems with it
  13. do any you guys use one of these if so what do you think of them
  14. i agree they should be banned it not a nice way to die for any animal thus loosing the chance of shooting them much more fun a 2 stroke garden strimmer engine is good to use it nice and light to carry around and your mate cud carry the gun all you need to do is extend the exaust pipe a little and put down one hole and block that hole with soil or a old rag and if anything down there will come running out the other holes
  15. you should only shoot game with the express consent from the land owner as you wouldnt want to loose your permission but if he asks you to bag a brace of pheasant for him at christmas then do it but other wise its a big no no dont tread on his toes never bite the hand that feeds you
  16. hi everyone look on the bright side the way the prices are nowadays it discourages people from taking a shot (pot shot) at something they might hit rather than at something they will hit with a clean kill i read on the web a while ago about a guy making his own lead shot useing different sizes of mesh only problem he encounted was the shot was more pear shape then round but he reckons it still worked ok http://www.endtimesreport.com/410reloading.html but i guess its always a thought ive never tried it my self but i do make my own ssg shot using a mould i made last year as price of cartridges in ssg and also aaa is through the roof now

  19. hi graham did you loosen the little screws on the turrets aswell as they keep the turrets from moveing accidently
  20. hi every one im just curious as to whether anyone else uses these scopes i think they are pretty alright very easy to zero in as well as having a range finder built in which is pretty accurate aswell and handy i got it for a song off ebay a few years ago and dont think id ever part with it it is a sniper scope so i guess it would have to be pretty good as it was built to last il be putting on my new gun when i get the variaton on my fac at xmas hopefully a 243 or a 223 or something similar
  21. hi well you are right no one sells the gear for reloading the .22 rf but i have a couple of things (not commercial stuff) which i use but i have fired some magtech rimfires which on occasion have had a double charge in them which must of been at least 4 to 5 grains judging by the crack they made and also the recoil off them they made my ears ping for a while so i think they should check their gear lol but i would not go to far with the powder charge in them 3 grains is my limit and no more as i think that will be within my guns safe working preasure
  22. hi there i just heard about it last week so maybe there is another roamong around northumberland again wud be nice to see it
  23. well i done it , put an extra half a grain of powder in to a couple of my cci stingers and it makes a bit difference all i need to do now is to compare the stinger with 2.5grains of powder to the ones i have done with 3grains of powder so looks like il be borrowing my mates chronny one day soon and i will put the chronny readings on here
  24. has anyone seen the white deer that has been spotted in northumberland wud be nice to see a pic of it before some idiot shoots it
  25. hi winchester sub sonics i payed about 30 pounds for 500 last year from my local gun shop i think most prices will be the same up and down the country but if you want cheap cheap try magtech (not a clean load) but they will knock over the bunnies the good point about magtech subs is the 40 grain bullet i had some but be careful as some times you may get one that has been double charged with powder as i have on a few occasions and they leave a lot of residue in the barrell aswell so your gun will need a good cleaning
