starting to come together now..................

exhaust turbine into housing....and o ring onto the compressor housing which is retained in position by a bloody great circlip........... i had to cut a couple of pegs put into the clip so i could grab hold of it with pipe pliers......

putting the compressor fan on................i put some heat into it with the hot air gun...(the mrs with gob open)....then it drops onto the shaft nicely.. im not doing the retaining nut up full torque as i might have to undo it again when im testing it...

usually the one thats speaks to me.................instead of raising her eyes heavenwards............

if i did a hip replacement for you.............you would end up walking around in bloody circles....

compresser housing seal laid in ontop of "o" ring....pushed down and large retaining circlip put in....NOTE....circlip must be the right way up ...as one side is chamfered.....

gallery plate is put in.................screwed down....and rubber "o" ring..is laid in for the cover /seal plate............

the shaft is then slid into the bearing / bush......it dosnt go all of the way in...as it now has to be gently moved about so the piston ring closes and slides into its seat................. the cassett is then turned over and the other bush is dropped in ....then the oil gallery plate is positioned with the secondary bush /oiler spacer...and at the top of the bush is another piston ring /seal.............

new piston/seal ring on....new bush dropped into housing...new circlip....then start to slide turbo shaft thro the titainium heat sheild ...into the housing.... got to do some shopping now... take some pain killer... and ..."she know nutthin"...........and that is NOT the sitting room carpet (same colour mind you)...its a towel from the bathroom....

well ...thats what came in the re-build pack....and more...but they were put to one side as they were for a different generation of turbo... first thing to do ...lock tite the screws that hold the oil gallery plate in position..then put the....compresser seal ring on..(its like a piston ring)...then wash the turbo out ...and check bush housing...(exhaust side)....

now that is nice...........my farmer does similar with his CMS....but not to the standard and profusion as that...................you want to comment about that to him ...bet he would be dead chuffed to have someone comment on that............................im not a honey man...but i bet the bees make "some good stuff" around there.. made my day those pics

if it is a well known make.....and good model it is likely that there are parts still availble for it..........it really depends wether you like it or not...........its the equiverlent to the Browning auto ...(the first one)....many people think it is the ugliest gun they have ever seen....i like them with a passion... im going quite for a bit on the Merc S re-build at the moment...as all the parts are in 'cept the cocking lever.......and im doing some reseach on the varity of springs i could use... i might ...if it is going to be a while waiting for it to come..... finish the Garrett Turbo charger rebuild.........

sorry ,,,much as i would like to i cant......i have several projects lined up for the next few mths ....including the rest of the Garett turbo-charger rebuild...which is half owned by VILKING and TIGHTCHOKE......then there is the Landrover aahhh...the list goes on....and if this Merc..S works well ...i will be out for bunnies and squizzers........... thanks for asking... PS...why dont you do it yourself....plenty of help on here you know....you dont even have to ask..

these have a very good rep' as regards to accuracy...very small groups at 11.8ftlbs..........they were brought out to compete against the German imported springers....the rifle is mechaically perfect now...proberly better than new...with a better spring...not a more powerful spring but a better one...and using my dry grease...it has every oppotunity to shoot better than the air arms one i did a few mths ago... not happy with the Milbro select pellets i got....they are too small at 4.5mm.................JSB Exact do a 4.5mm...4.52mm....and a 4.53mm pellet so i will play with then to start of with..
