Email from the police, what do you think?
activeviii replied to markm's topic in General Shooting Matters
so your on a shoot and theirs an anti having a bad day. they shoot has phoned the police to tell them the shoot is on. someone see's this anit in the field next door and hes taking pot shots with his air gun. police are phoned and told theres a man shooting. Yep, we know their shooting, carry on is the reply. biggest load of bull i have heard. i phone IF i think im in a sensitive area. one feild in a housing estate that gets hammered with pigeons. the rest of the time i want to do as i like, when i like, without having to answer to anyone, im with in the law and going about my lawful business. what next, phoning the police because im riding my push bike on the hills and i MIGHT run someone down. get lost,if they help me then i might help them. 3 months for a 1-4-1 is not helping. -
lmao, that came to me email box.lol. checky begger.lol I'll have to load it all and go look at all the data again,,,im not that bored.hehe

I had some time to kill so i was a sad man.hehe. .177 Air Arms running at 12ft/lb with Air Arms Diabolo Fields 8.44gn at muzzle on its limit of 12ft/lbs it will have 5.27ft/lb or 530ft/sec velocity @65 meters With a zero at 40 meters you will have a hold over of 5.809 Inch with a scope cross of the centre of bore being 1.8 inch. think i need to get a life.

Ben, dont let half these guys get to you. half of them still think that the HMR is for boar shooting at 300 yards. AA S400 is a very capable rifle. i use to shoot the s410 out to 65 meters with no worries. much more then the energy has dropped off to much to guarantee a humane kill. use to shoot heads of nails free standing at 35 meters. cant do it now as its all i can do to stand. I learnt a long time ago that most of the moaners on here are either wannabes, keyboards shooters or jealous that they cant be as good. the rest i just ignore till i need something from them

best way i find is to open the curtains and look outside.

get the right one as one is very soft and you need two layers, i get estate agent boards and use them. spray the edges with black or grey before flock coating

i got very very worried then, im a married man you know.haha i have garlic, loads of it but i never pick any, i want to lift some to put in garden but im not sure is its legal to do. i couldnt be trusted to pick be own rooms as with my memory i would forget what im told and end up picking red ones or is it blue. i think they grow best in the sheep fields. i was told they make a nice magic brew.

140gn Federal would that be the soft points power shock? if you are 1" high at 50 yards then you will have a zero at 200 yards. you want 2.2" @ 100yards for 1" high @ 100 yrds the you will have a zero of 154 yards allowing 2650 Fps @ muzzle and 1.5" sight elevation. tenner for the spring and £100 for a brand new stock. thats what i would have expected for the £150 not a repaired stock.

Pinewood for me too. I use a 7amp battery in the winter and then either the 12 or 17 amp depending on how long i plan on being out in the summer. the 17 amp will last a day and half in the summer I have had mine a fair few years now and its getting to the stage where the gearbox on the motor has seen better days but bear in mind i shoot 2-3 time a week in the summer and at least once a week in the winter. Im about to order the new motor from MFA so no issue there.

change you tyres, change your speed. new tyres will read a different speed to wore tyres. my old car was 8MPH slower that to different GPS units. my truck reads bang on, not that its a worry as it costs to much to speed
