  1. Hi I am too far away to help with a rabbit, which is a shame; however, most large pet shops will have frozen rabbits in stock for snakes. If you are struggling to find one locally who sells them - a call to Honeybrooks (http://www.honeybrookfarm.com/contact-us.htm) Will tell you who they supply locally. I am really surprised that on a shooting forum - nobody local can help you out though. Mike
  2. But that is the point - looking at your first post - you don't have a clue about the law!
  3. I guess you don't with to stay a member of the KC Assured breeders scheme then? - as offering your dog for stud for the purpose of producing a cross breed is a breach of the T&Cs of the scheme - I look forward to hearing how your forthcoming KCABS visit goes (Everyone is getting them - they last about 2-3 hours and cover an awful lot of stuff!) Mike
  4. No I dont do either. Or I would be on the phone to the police all the time! The risk assessment carried out in conjunction with the local council officer showed no need for notices as its carried out at night with NV. I make the same assesment re the public no matter where I am shooting. I always ensure I have a safe back stop regardless of where I am shooting. If I cant see to make a shot, then its not taken.
  5. I control both rabbits and foxes on 3 council owned parks. I have keys for 2 and use a moderated 22lr for the rabbits. The foxes are trapped. You shoukd never make assumptions.
  6. How do you know he doesn't have permission? The amount of folk who moan like hell when the police turn up to them lawfully shooting now your advocating calling the police on someone who may well have permission.
  7. I have one. They are easy to get I the UK. Jacksons import them and usually have plenty of stock.
  8. Be quite amusing if he now tries to get FLMs to adopt the AOLQ condition then!
  9. Drop us a pm. We can sort something out over the spring or summer. More than welcome. Ill bring the 338lm too. Mike
  10. You're welcome to shoot my 50 first if you like?
  11. That will be Thorpe cloud then..................... Any of the centrefire calibres will hold the bull at 500yds - Thorpe does suffer with the wind, but once used to it you will be fine. I am sure once you have spent sometime there with the club you will form your own opinions on what you would like to shoot for yourself - shoot as many different calibres and types as you can before making the choice. I would suggest you avoid for your initial grant some of the more exotic calibres you may see at Thorpe (especially if our club is there!) - whilst they may seem like fun at first, you ideally need to hand load to get the best out of them and indeed some of them have no factory ammo available readily. Mike
  12. That is NOT what I said - try and read it again.
  13. It was an assault! - and witnessed by Police he is never going to get off it! There does not even need to be physical contact to constitute common assault.
  14. Cheers John - shame. Guss - the 3300 is 1282mm - so sounds like the right one. PM inbound.
  15. Hi These are the two: http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1750 This one is 50.5" x 13.5 x 5.5" and the IM3300 http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail_storm.php?Case=iM3300 is 50.5 x 14" x 6" I am more interested in the size - needs to be big as it is for a big rifle. Thanks Mike
  16. Does anyone have one for sale - I don't mind if it is without foam - or if it has seen better days, as long as it is still in one piece and closes (oh and stays closed!) Mike
  17. What club are you shooting at Thorpe with? - we also have club days at Thorpe. Mike
  18. Sordin Supreme Pro x - you only have one lot of hearing.
  19. You are not releasing the trigger fully after the shot in all probability.
  20. I would be interested in the hornet dies and brass - Pm me with a price - I can collect. Mike
  21. I "think" you might find I was correct then
  22. Send Hillmouse on here a PM - he is in your neck of the woods and is a CPSA coach. (Nice guy too! - just don't tell him I said he was nice!!) Mike
