  1. Wish I'd thought of that , might stop me twiddling my thumbs on weekends As for the permissions forms that taking the p***** a bit, they must think shooters are dim or like throwing money away
  2. You could form a couple of cradles out of old wire coat hangers. Cut the hanger part off so you have a long piece of wire with sharp ends, form the cradle with the middle( just basic enough to lay the bird in). The ends need to be about 4 inchs long coming out each side of the cradle so as to pierce the wings, attach the cradle to the rod with araldite and twine remember it doesn't have to be fancy as long as it works
  3. personal tax 10% vat 10% = another gun= Bliss

  5. Plus you got to get the barrel reproofed and I think I read somewhere that the reloading mechanism stops working so you end up with a single shot gun
  6. Thats the best thing you can do ( what tiercel said) make a call to your local fire arms office for advice. Mine had to be rawl bolted to an an external Brick wall
  7. I know I shouldn't say it Pete, but I have to! If you had gone to eBuyer you could have got the new s1070 delivered to your door, saved a tenner and got an 8 gig card for £9.99 Personally I won't buy anything now from the likes of Argos, Comet, Currys, PC word etc. without searching online But I'm a tight *** where being ripped off is concerned http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-S1070-Digi...8302&sr=1-6

  12. A cheque is fine GJ, I had my license in a three week turnaround, my guy Barry Perkins is his name. a really helpful chap . He said when he went to the office he just picks up the forms on his desk and that's it, but I'm in Avon and Somerset, just hope you get an enthusiast. Anyhow you decided on what gun to get yet, I expect everybody is eagerly awaiting your decision

  15. Hang on, hang on a minute. I bought a Hotpoint 1600 spin with dents on the sides (Classed as a second) off old eBay. Best m/c I ever bought. cost well less than half price. The dents (3 very small) dont show so, who cares. I've had Zanusi Ariston( caught fire in fact it blew up) Washer dryers, never again. The wife loves it cause it's the quietest we've had and at 1600 spin practicaly comes out dry, besides when itceases to live I'll get another off old eBay
  16. Don't know about the 6's but the 32g 5's are £38.50 for 250 in Norfolk
  17. Right, you wonna know how many. The first time take a hundred cause you'll be hesitent and not be quick enough. Chances are, being late bringing your gun up you won't use so many The second time take start taking 150 cause you'll have a bit more confidence. Once you get used to banging the little ******* take a slab (250) beleave me on a good day you'll need them, even with that many you can run out
  18. Part of the shotgun code of practice!! Safety whilst travelling Always transport a shotgun in its case or in a protective gun cover. If guns and cartridges have to be left in a vehicle, put them out of sight and always take some small, vital part of the gun eg the fore-end away with you. Always leave a vehicle locked, even if unattended only for a short time. Never travel with a loaded shotgun.
  19. Yep these are all stunning
  20. not in my part of the country. It has to be bolted to a brickwall( one of your outer walls, which in a semi you have 3, a detatched you have 4) Also when I filled out my application, it had provision for a diagram of it's position in the house
