  6. hi all, i am lucky enough to have dropped on a cottage in the middle of the land i shoot that my landowner owns the down side is that my gun cabinet will be installed in the cellar where it is slightly damp. I intend to raise the cabinet up off the floor by 6" or so with a rubber lining between the blocks, i will also buy some silica gel packs for the cabinet. The guns will be used almost daily so i will inspect regular. Shall i leave them in there bags too? Any other tips would be gladly accepted. chee

  11. i asked a local butcher to me what he would give me for ferreted or rifle shot rabbits, he said 1 quid with skin or 1.50 without he then sells them all day long at 6.50 you dont need more than one guess what i told him to do with his 1 quid...
  12. i go out every saturday and sunday with the shotgun and a couple of week days with the rimmie with nv. i normally bulk buy my shells as not to be back and forth to the shop. if i work it out its probably around a slab of shells a month and 200 rounds. never go clay shooting though, i find it too boring. :yp: oh, also my wife thinks i only have one shotgun and one rimfire...
  13. i use 65mm game bore through my hatsan luxano and never had a single jam yet touch wood, nor have i never changed the o-ring. if its not broke why fix it..
  14. a 12g lanber semi auto, never jammed once, wish i never sold it now nor have i seen one the same since
  15. congrats the wait is worth it though. happy days.
  16. i fancy swapping my lanber deluxe 12 for something newer but i must have bought and swapped 10 shotguns before i found my lanber that actually fits me well not sure i can be ***** messing around again. going wales in 3 weeks camping with the family so heres to hoping the weather picks up
  17. i have had 4 land clearances in the last year and not a thing said, one of the permissions is split into 3 sections, they cleared all 3 sections for there max calibre, one section was cleared for .22lr but i dont shoot it as i dont think its safe enough for my liking im even quite shocked they past it.. so im not sure on there routine for checking land. i now have an open ticket anyway so it dont effect me no more. Also, i was told by my flo that .17hmr is regarded the next calibre up from .22lr for reasons of power output and not calibre size even though the hmr is a more fragile round and much less chance of ricocats s.yorks.
  18. rapids are great guns, very accurate, shot count is good and all round quality is great. Theobens after care or help line is next to zero  Only thing to look out for is the there very good guns for servicing and tuning, and you dont want one that has has tom,**** and harry messing around with look out for worn screws and allen bolts in stock and reciever, also chrono the gun if possible if the owner is of untrusty or not well known you may find its above the 12ftlb limit and find yourself outside of the law. apart from that, if i where going back to airgunning from fac there the only gun i would buy. hope this helps.
  19. i have tried all sorts over the years, makeshift nest with eggs, tinfoil and bits of rubbush i was told works callers, nothing seemed to work well. crow deeks around the dead rabbit always gives me results.
  20. what an absolute joke.. Thing is that the general public love the hero stories like this regardless of the time and money required for such a farse.
  21. im off there too in a few weeks canarvern, aberforon. dont think my spelling is right very nice place and the kids love being out in the sticks.. hope the rain eases off.
  22. i agree too, i know this is a open forum for members and we all have rights to say what we think but comments like who gives a **** should be kicked off the forum full stop. what a thought less, childish thing to say
