  1. nothing has still been cut on the farm i work at, all this crappy weather means we wont get cutting until late next week at the latest and thats only if we have some sunny weather. the rape is ready to cut but the barley and wheat still need a couple of weeks. roll on some sun shine
  2. i ordered the flapper and magnet deal and some stealth netting from them on monday night arrived this morning i used my discount and am pretty happy with what i got. the £8.50 postage is ok as long as you get it deliverd the next day. although for the smaller items i think its a bit of a rip off.

  8. i dont think so, house hold dimmer switches are AC ones from a car are DC they will work, might blow up though if the current is too strong.
  9. does magtame only deal on ebay? are you using a standard car battery?
  10. at £19 plus post and packaging i think thats a bit steep for a piece of coiled copper wire
  11. hey all just made myself a magnet but the motor spins too fast, i tried using an interior dimmer switch of a mark two escort today, set it up at a nice speed, a pigeon came in before i could even sit down. but then the switch burnt out and broke. does any one have any other ideas of what could be used?
  12. there is other people on here who can probably tell you more than i can, but its were the crop is sprayed with a selective herbacide (i think) to kill off all the other plants and leave just the rape. once it has been sprayed it usualy takes around 10 days before it can be cut.
  13. last year when i was following the combine and cutting the stuble back with a topper the pigeons were on the field within hours, even while we were still cutting the same field. when we packed up there were hunders on it. we are spraying off our rape tomorow or the next so will be shooting time soon.
