  1. I think iv found some blank 12g carts but no mention of ones containing feathers do you remember who was selling them?
  2. I vaguely remember watching a gundog demonstration where the handler was sat in a hide with his dog and every time he fired his gun in to the air feathers came out. Now am I being thick or do blank cartridges for this type of thing exist or had he maybe loaded his own cartridges for his display? I think some blanks would help me with aspects of my dogs training. Cheers Rob
  3. Id maybe look at getting another electrical firm or maybe an electrician on his own as your original electrician has clearly been ripped off, not by you but by the builder. Tell them you just want the place tested and to let you know if anything is wrong. At the end of it they should be able to provide you with a test certificate if no extra work is required.
  4. I thought the .50cal used on range has to be non exploding making it very different to the .50cal used by the forces and Call of Duty gamers....
  5. I have a shooters ridge one. Seems fine touch wood no problems with it yet.
  6. would be interested to know how you get on with this rifle. I have a BSA S10 and am thinking of swapping over.
  7. My lab does a similar thing, I just thought he was mouthing it and as he has only retrieved a small number of birds it was something he will outgrow.
  8. If its john bowkett (Sorry if i have spelt his name wrong) who will blue print it then it is worth it
  9. Basically i bought the above gun from the cla gamefair this year. I put a few cartridges through it and the stock cracked. BWM agreed to sort it out but as there were no stocks available they would send me a brand new one from belgium. That arrived and while putting it together and openeing and closing the action i noticed a small scratc/ crack that looked like the begining of what had happened previously. I dint accept the gun and told BWM i do not want another select light as i doubt there build quality. He assured me that there wasnt a problem but i wasnt taking any chances. They are sending me an English field which i will hopefully have this week. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...p;hl=winchester Heres the topic about the above. It was probably just coincidence that the 2 guns were not good but i didnt want to take anymore chances this close to the season.
  10. for shot gun or rifle? I had two sets of barrels for my old shotgun, just wrote on the license "2 sets of barrels" think its different for rifles?

  12. I see you sell alot of this stuff so do you have any of these in a uk34-36 waist>?
  13. well we have lived there since febuary and its only the last month or so that they have been visiting the garden every night. Obviously the chickens bringing them in. I will obviously up the strength of the coop its self and look forward to helping reduce the population. Thanks for the comments guys. Although I have a .22wmr which would of been a stronger shot I felt that at such close range and being so close to the house the .22lr would be quieter and gave me the quick follow up shot which ensured the kill. Gonna try for another tonight. Being an electrician i thought of rigging a PIR up that was linked to a light in my bedroom or a radio that could wake me up lol
  14. I also put the rabbit back in the garden and kept checking but nothing came back. When i woke at 4 i checked again and it was gone. Will keep you updated if I manage to get any of her friends!
  15. I live in an old farm house with a couple of old barns and about 3/4 acre of gardens. About 2 miles away from any other house. I have bought some bantams, just a trio but they were becoming quite funny little characters. Since having them we have noticed an increased amount of fox **** all over the garden so I was getting a bit nervous. The coop had two doors on it both with locks so the chickens were quite safe(at least thats what i thought) it also had a slide out tray at the bottom for cleaning which i keep struggling to pull out. While out running in the evenings I told our closest neighbours that we had a fox problem and would soon be dealing with it, to which they had no objections. We also have a holiday let so made them aware of what may be heard. Yesterday when i went to let the chickens out i was met with the pull out tray half pulled out which meant the chickens could get out through a 2 inch gap under the coop after being scared by what ever was pulling on the tray. You don't have to be a genius to work out what had happened but it wasn't pretty. So last nite me and a mate went to the local permission on the hunt for a rabbit, which we found soon enough and returned to my front garden. I placed it in the middle of the garden as it was under my bedroom window and was also lit by PIR activated light. I watched the inbetweeners and my dad said he was off to bed, as he walked the back garden window he sed get your lamp i think i saw something. I rushed upstaires to where i had the gun and lamp set up for the front garden. As i picked up lampi i thought i best check the front garden, there she was!!!! Just about to rush off with the rabbit in her gob. I picked the gun up and fired two quick shots from about 20 yards straight to head and neck. She dropped on the spot so i rushed down to have a look. Here she is with the rabbit, Thanks for reading ( if you have made it this far lol)
  16. Spoke to the guys at browning, They are swapping it for the Winchester English Field. I made up my mind I didnt want another select light, Maybe should of asked for a refund and bought a browning or berretta but I cant be dealing withe hassel. Hopefully will have the new gun by next week, just hoping its as good as he says it is.....
  17. Rite guys bit of advice needed again. I went to the RFD to pick the new gun up yday and I unwrapped it and put it together. I was opening and closing the action and checking it over for a good 2-3 mins when i noticed a mark in the exact same posistion. It looked like a scratch or the begining of a crack. Even the rfd said it didnt look to good so I decided to leave the gun and speak to browning before accepting it because i dont think i should take the gun if it may crack again. It didnt fill me with confidence when i saw it and now im wondering wether i want to have a winchester. Am i being too fussy and should just take the gun in the hope it doesnt break or should i stand my ground and ask for a different gun or my money back? Its just with the pheasant season upon us soon i dont want to have the hassel of maybe changing my main gun because the mark has turned in to a crack. Cheers guys
  18. Devon hunter, How do you find the Dm80- compared to the Wildcat whisper on the 2 rounds?
  19. http://www.htc.com/www/product/desirehd/overview.html This is the one im on about. I have the HTC Hero which was good but not as good as the new HTC's look. I will be upgrading as soon as i can
  20. Yeah i see where your coming from. It would be worth trying. You could get a sako quad with mach2 barrel n if you dont like it just get the .22lr barrel? My wmr is sako quad as i thought i could get a hmr barrel if i wasnt keen on wmr.
  21. I was/am very nervous of the ricochet from .22lr but the more i use the gun i realise it isnt that bad. I was thinking of going down the .17hm2 route as my local rfd are selling some Remington bolt actions, screw cut for around the £280 mark but i just cant warrant it. The lr does everything i need and now i have the wmr iv got the range if needed. Just my view
