I bought a gas bbq, I loved bbq and thought the gas would be more convenient, well it’s like cooking on the gas hob. There is no nice bbq taste so the whole point is lost on a gas bbq. I have been looking for a decent large traditional bbq but not had any luck they are all either very expensive or flimsy. I have got a friend who is a welder to make me one from a oil drum cut in half on an A frame. Thanks Doc for the link regarding charcoal I will be getting some from my local supplier. Should get the bbq this weekend.

Just shoot 50 birds rather than the full hundred or 50 in the morning and back for 50 after lunch. I found 100 birds hard when I was younger.

Hi I bought a new model 70 Winchester .243 it cost me £570 and is a really good rifle would have loved to have spent double on a sako but was on a budget. Its a really nice rifle to shoot, I have no complaints. I bought it from pets and past times in Stoke they are good guys there.

Thanks for the comments I like the Winchesters for the fact that when there is a round up the spout it does not get stuck up and I can eject the round if I need to. With the Eley it wont eject if it has not been fired. I will persevere with them as you all think they are good

Was shooting the other night with some winchester Subs, I thought they were pretty **** just were not knocking down the rabbits. They were hit hard but still jumped and one even ran 20 yards Normally shoot Eley subs and never had a problem they just knock them down. Anyone have same problem. I am going to plink the winchesters and go back to Eley.
