  1. Air Arms S200 is a good one. What its got going for it: light weight cheap accurate 70 shots possibility of upgrade to 10 shot magazine well built (manufactured by CZ) looks beasting

    Horseflies

Midges arent too bad. They dont do much except crawl all over your face and get in your eyes. Apart from that they dont sting or anything.
  3. I think thats abit extreme. If someone is selling privately a gun that obviously hasnt been fired many times then there is no danger surely.

    Horseflies

I've not suffered at the hands of the horse fly. They just munched on me a few times.
  5. I was meaning if someone was wanting to go down the FAC route if it was possible to revert it to put it on your FAC as you are allowed over 3 shot on a FAC if you have the use for one.
  6. Was out in the car today and seen alot of fields of barley being hammered by the pigeons. Might go a knocking later on in the week.
  7. ITV news is unbelievable. Has anyone noticed they report the news like theyre telling a story?
  8. Dont worry I heard on the radio that the mobile companies have stopped the transmitters in London.
  9. Nice one! Some good crow busting there! Galloway is quite close to me. Where abouts in Galloway were you?
  10. The police said there have been six blasts across London. One on a bus and the rest on the London underground although the Channel 5 news said there are reports of additional blasts. Two people are confirmed dead but thats likely to rise. The government will use this event to their advantage in breeding a climate of fear among the public. In doing so it is in the governments advantage to breed a climate of fear because the public are prepared to sacrifice a great deal of their freedom and privacy for a perceived greater level of security. More legislation in the form of the National ID card bill will do little but ease the minds of the public meanwhile allowing the government to excerise more control through the back door. Just like the Terrorism Act, it allows arrest without trial which surely has no place in a democratic society. In breeding a climate of fear and taking away freedoms and privacy is exactly what terrorism tries to achieve. Anyway, these are just my opinions. EDIT: BBC News - London Blasts link
  11. I got Chairgun. Going to have a look at it. You could be right about iron sights though, he used to have a Diana Model 22. Cheers
  12. Thats a pretty good angle ernyha, forgot the value slumps.
  13. I had a deal set up where someone I know was going to sell me a Beretta AL391 for £500 in mint condition but he backed out for whatever reason. Checking out my options once again, was considering the characteristic of the semi-auto not accepting light, heavy or reloaded cartridges to be a potential annoyance. Although the third shot would be a useful feature for vermin. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the restriction on 3 shots if I ever wanted to put it on a FAC? I might even consider a pump as I was wanting to reload to save money and have a superior shell than the factory produces.
  14. Um, I think I've made a rather large mistake. I was confused cause my dad said if its shooting low then the reticule should go up but I thought it should have came down. B) Ill try putting it down and adjust it to 25 yrds instead of 35. Dont tell anyone.
  15. Having a slight problem zeroing my AA S200. Its a .22 and I'm not sure what range I should be zeroing it at. When I have tried zeroing it at 35 yrds it always hits too low. The reticule on the scope cant go any higher. The scope I'm using is a Pecar Berlin Champion 6x45. What could be the problem?

    Fun movie

Nice work. What is the editing program you use? Was looking for a good one.
  17. Hello people. Once again I ask for some advice. At the moment I have to make do with my S200 while I wait on my shotgun licence application and as you may already know airguns dont make the best weapon of choice for the woodies - or clays for that matter! . So, what I was after was a 3 shot semi-automatic with my budget being around £500. Was interested to hear what others would go for if they were buying one with my budget and reasons for the choice. Also, are there any ones to avoid? It would be used mainly as a field gun but might be taken down to the clay ground occasionally. Thanks.
  18. The law doesnt take into consideration such details before introducing legislation. In Italy it is absolutely full of magpies, feral pigeons and sparrows, vermin of all sorts but they have a summer closed season where you may not even shoot at all. PS. But makes more shooting in the open season i suppose!
  19. Dont think so... Can someone please tell me what the difference is if you use a semi automatic or a standard break action shotgun? Why is using a break action okay and a semi not?
  20. I dont understand where the distinction is between wood pigeons being safe to eat and feral pigeons being poisonous. Feral pigeons are decendents of domesticated rock doves that were bred for food for centuries. I have read though that they do carry more illnesses than the Brown Rat, many of which can be caught by humans. So that means that woodies would have the potential to be poisonous as well doesnt it? Some people keep feral pigeeons for the purpose of slaughtering them for food even today.
  21. I dont know about multishot but I would recommend the Air Arms S200, it has a 10 shot attachment for £60.00 which I havent used but its supposed to work very well. The S200 will give about 70 shots with one charge, its quite light and is very quiet with a silencer. Its deadly accurate and well built. I got mine for £200 in A1 condition with a moderator and a 1 year warranty against defects from the shop. I have no regrets.
  22. roblades correct! Dont even think about cooking them up or touching them for that matter. Ferals carry diseases that are harmful, I've read even more diseases can be carried by the feral than the rat! Including Psittacosis that can be caught by handling the bird. Dont even think about it because they may appear healthy when infact are full of illness. Does anyone know what kind of illnesses that woodies, rabbits and squirrels can have that can infect humans and how you can diagnose them? Cant woodies catch the same illnesses that ferals have?
