  1. Strange - I was thinking the same myself about the birds around here!!
  2. Evening All! I'm looking to get my hands on some cocker training DVDs or books. Thanks in advance!! Gary
  3. What's the lens? What condition is it in? Thanks!
  4. Hi - yes I did and we are planning to pay him a visit soon! There are a few others selling pups so I am trying to figure out what I need to look out for ! Love the pic - great looking dog!
  5. Hi All I have been looking for a cocker for a while and have now been in contact with a guy who will have some ready in a few weeks. I have had springers in the past, but this would be my first cocker. Can anyone offer me some advice on what I should be looking out for, what I should be asking? Thanks in advance! Gary
  6. I have seen left handers using a right handed semi. No issues at all. May also depend on your dominant eye. If you close your right eye when normally shooting then this may be even less of an issue as you won't see as much.
  7. I have a pair of balmoral neoprene. Fantastic boot and keeps my toes nice and warm!
  8. Pop into your local firearms dealer. They usually have a few knocking about!
  9. To answer a PM. Yes, the item is a large size 10 and would also fit a size 12. According to the Next website, the chest sizes are: Size 10: 34 Size 12: 35½ Size 12: 37 Hope this helps!
  10. Completely agree with you. Regardless of the dog, I would never fully trust it.
  11. I just bought the jacket and trousers. Jacket. I am a 42 and was told to buy a size down. Bought a 40 and it was still slightly big. Also was big around the shoulders so it didn't suit me well. Will be sending it back shortly. Trousers. I am a 36 and bought a 36 and they fit nicely. Great trousers and very comfy. I will be keeping them! Also, the jacket and trousers are the same colour so if you are wearing both at the same time you may look a little odd. I'm looking for a green jacket to wear with the trousers. Hope this helps! Gary
  12. Yep - that was my experience. They were really chatty and gave me good advice. Turned out I then bought a Beretta off them. As with any purchase, look around for prices and then go back to them with what you are willing to pay. I came away with a gun that I got for the same price as I would have from any gun shops online (including gun trader). I would have absolutely no hesistation going back to McCloys - always been a pleasure for me.
  13. Hi All Hopefully some folk can help me. I'm looking for a black cocker pup somewhere in Northern Ireland. If anyone can send me on contacts etc. that would be great! Thanks in advance! Gary
  14. I bought some at the start of the season. I would recommend visiting a few shops and trying a few different ones on. Mainly from the point of view of the shoe size. I am a size 10 but in some waders had to go to 11 or 12 to get them to fit! Mine cost about 80 quid from a shop in Lisburn.

  16. I submitted my variation to the PSNI a month ago. Looking at another 5 months before it gets back to me. Such is life!
  17. Well look how that turned out! Fair play to you for giving your opinion, people should respect it as much as you will respect theirs.
  18. Great pic - love it that you didn't have all the fancy gear and still got a huge bag out of it.

    Binos at Lidl

Nice spot! Must call in and see if my local has any left.
  20. Yep - been very helpful to me too. Above and beyond what I expect from a stranger! Thanks henry d - you are a great example to us all.
  21. Get onto the BASC (or whoever you are a member with) and ask them. I know the N.Ireland office has a great relationship with the firearms office and they may be able to advise you on what's the score. If it's their policy then you will have to take it on the chin and move it. Nowt much else you can do.
