  1. In a very posh butler type voice " excuse me sir ,it appears someone is attempting to contact you telephonically , shall i tell them to **** off ?" Always gets a laugh at work , not so sure about the family sunday lunch though..........
  2. hello and welcome from hampshire !
  3. Can't fault these things , one of the best bits of kit in my cabinet. You will be pleased.
  4. I have dealt with several shops near me on the south coast with no issues, On a run out friday to Town and Country sports in Botley, spend 2 1/2 hrs looking a possible swaps for a s/a , could not fault the service, and the quality of the cuppa. Was not pushed or steered toward a quick purchase. The atmosphere was very professional and courteous.
  5. great shame, looked at one of those friday in the local shop ,nice bit of kit , best of luck getting it sorted.
  6. I agree . doesn't have to be pinpoint, just a fair idea would do.

  12. Don't worry about a butchers , you can have a go . Just can't wait for the next hampshire meet !!!
  13. I have used a heavy duty plastic 25 ltr shell hydraulic oil drum in the past. If you have access to a bandsaw or jigsaw a piece of ply slightly bigger than the top and screwed onto it is usually very good once you have broken the edges off with some sand paper .If the drum is h/duty a small opening cut in the side will allow for a net and small equipment to be stored , just be careful not to cut to big a hole in the side! Might be worth trying the nearest industrial estate or machine shop . best of luck
  14. I know ! sorry............. at the moment i have one space left in the cabinet, and i am looking at a hushpower martini greener gp. also its strange but I felt i had lost interest in the s/auto, and felt more confident with the o/u. And yes........I know I'm weird.
  15. Decided to bite the bullet today and after a few seconds deliberation swapped in my semi auto. Got a miroku mk70 28" m/c o/u instead. Had a miroku 3000 a few years ago and regretted getting shot of it ( gave it to a nephew ) Have since used the 3000 again recently and decided to go for it. sadly the nearest 3000 was the other side of the planet, so went down to town and country sports in Botley and sorted a deal with Dave ( many thanks, see you at Sherfield english ) cant wait to give it a try !! Have seen that a fair few people on here like them so hopefully i'll have success.
  16. be aware of it conflicting with any other local days, shoots / countrymans fairs etc. Don't forget to publicise it on here , i'm sure some of the hampshire meet lads could attend.
